Pascal looked like shit. Even before he got hurt he didn't seem as fast as I remember him seeming to be, not very crisp. And Floyd Sr. would say you can see through his chin.
I actually thought Pascal could beat Miranda but after that totally changed my opinion. Not even so much because of what Miranda did, although obviously the KO was impressive, but because of how bad Pascal looked, against a clearly lesser guy than Banks.

Yes, that was great. Pascal is a fighter and as such had to preserve his pride somehow by least putting up a good front after the fight like he still wanted to fight Miranda. Ended up looking like an ass though.Originally Posted by Daxx Kahn

Maybe because I see the event for what it is. What it was was easy matches(on paper) for both foes to hype the potential fight between them.Originally Posted by El Gamo
I'm all for big fights and knockouts but I agree with what wacko said, lets keep things in perspective.
Miranda beating Banks showed what we already knew, Miranda had punching power.
I'd like to see how he handles a situation that Abraham and Pavlik put him in to see any improvements, but as far as this match goes it was pretty much the same Miranda, brutal KO machine. Not that I'm complaining, but are any of us surprised?
I have seen a few Miranda fights. Not enough to make me an expert by any means, but he appears to have improved his head movement and defense. His punches look straighter and his jab is out there more. I think the Pavlik fight made him more cautious and patient in his attack. I think he on his way.
Some us must be. Since some of us were picking Banks to upset Miranda or give him trouble. I was not one of those.Originally Posted by Majesty

One thing about Miranda, his right hand is sneakily fast and he will hit pretty much every opponent with it in any given fight. We know it has power so only guys with very good chins or great defensive talent will be able to beat him.
There are a couple of guys at SM who would be able to deal with him, a couple more who may be able too. For the most part though, I think he has a great chance at Super Middleweight. It is not really a deep division and If Jeff Lacy was able to capture a title, well Miranda certainly can also.
My friend,I have to disagree.I think in a few months times,168 is going to be THE division in boxing, along with WW.Look at the list of fighters here:Originally Posted by Deanrw

and a whole host of other challengers out there. It's pretty stacked to me and what makes it so intriguing is,unless Kessler is going to fight thse guys,we don't actually know who the best here is!
