1 Lennox Lewis
2 Foreman
3 Hagler
And present:
1 vitali klitschko
2 mayweather (i think pacquiao would beat him, but if mayweather trained as hard and scientifically as pacquiao he would be better)
3 pacquiao

Its really hard for me to narrow it down to 3 guys because I literally have about 50 favorite fighters, but here it goes...
1. James Toney - He was the full package and terribly underrated IMO. He could box, punch, and fight on the inside as well as anyone. Slick defensive skills meshed with a legitamite mean streak and disdain for his opponents. A lot of people don't like his brash attitude, but personally I find it hilarious. Never ducked anyone, fought the best/toughest guys from middleweight all the way to heavyweight. Tough as nails and one of the best chins of all time imo.
2. Roy Jones - Got me into boxing. There was never anyone like Roy and there'll never be anyone like Roy. I've been watching his fights since I got into boxing 4 years ago, and it still boggles my mind today the stuff that he could do in the ring. One of the greatest.
3. Roberto Duran - Loved his mean streak, and that "win at all costs" attitude. Fantastic fighter, hard not to love Duran.

If it was just three,
Ali - Had a big mouth but backed it up. He beat the best fighters in his era.
Sugar Ray Leonard - Again, beat the best fighters in his era.
Pacquiao - Exciting fighter and great resume.

Big fan of the slicksters, huh?
You gotta respect a guy that has sweetpea in his top 3 favorite fighters... Although I view him as one of the slickest most skilled fighters in the history of the game, you really need to be a purist to appreciate most of his fights.
Good list![]()

1-Muhammad ali-greatest hw and never even had a prime
2-rocky marciano-smallest hw -represents the underdog and was non stop punching machine
3-benard hopkins- 20 title defenses, smart fighter, a ring master
1) Matthew Saad Muhammad - The most exciting fighter I've ever seen. A real life light heavyweight Rocky Balboa who could take a frightful beating, yet come back & knock guys out - fantastic performer!
2) Willie Pep - The best pure boxer there ever was. If you want to learn how to box, watch Pep; a true master of the art of boxing.
3) Salvador Sanchez - Absolutely brilliant fighter: it's such shame that he died so young, as I believe he would have become a top 5 ATG.

Ali-His talents were otherworldy
Hopkins-walks out of Graterford prison at 21,ends up holding the Middleweight title for 20 defenses. I watch anyone win 2 rounds,1 handed in a championship fight because of a sepreated shoulder, when they could have quit and gone to the cards, where they were well ahead on.
You have to admire that kind of heart
Mancinci-All heart,no art
Honorable mentions
Foreman-they said that comeback was a joke, right up until they had to put the title around his waist
Frazier-Guts and determination personified
Manfreddy-Every time he got in to the ring, you knew he was coming for you, even if he didnt win,he was ready for war
Billy Miske-the guy was a dying and took a fight to give his family one last christmas
Jack Johnson-overcame vicious racism, and was probably the sports first real boxer, not a Queens Rules boxer

Jack Dempsey
Muhammad Ali
Manny Pacquiao
Notables:
Tyson, Hagler, Arguello, Little Red Lopez, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sanchez, Hearns, Pancho Villa, Marciano, Louis, Braddock, Foreman, Morales.
