In my opinion, Kessler is one of the top 10 fighters PFP in the world. But he needs to stop wasting his prime against C-class opponents and get back in the ring against a big name.
He could unify 168, but he needs to fight the best to do it.

Nice to see the crisp sharp boxing skills of kessler get to work.
Although would be nice to see kessler against the likes of froch, taylor and pavlik.
To be honest i see kessler beating all 3.
He combines solid orthodox technique with crisp punching, good stamina and good power.
He should either just fight bute straight away and get rid of him, or fight taylor, pavlik or froch...even a miranda fight would be exciting. But please stop p1ssing around with mundine, andrade etc etc.
Kessler needs to learn to adapt when he faces a speedy tactical slick fighter. he had trouble with calzaghe because calzaghe adapted, Kessler didn't. Kessler should be a powerhouse though.
I dont think it will happen,,i hear yesterday on tv,Mads Larsen and team sauerland has a negotiations going on with Bute,so the fight will be in March-April 2009

Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire
Looked very impressive against an opponent who didn't really have the chin to be at this level. Fast hands and cracking combo by Kessler and a fight that the WBA forced on him as a mandatory.
Hopefully he now gets a big fight as he is probably the best Super Middleweight in the World.
Kessler needs to prove himself again, hes in the hardest weight class IMO with the most able talent to get to the top. I love the 168 weight class, its so exciting![]()
