I think the cut did affect Barrera but i doubt he would of done much better than what he did.

Kudos to both fighters. But Khan deserves all the accolades. The accidental headbutt is always very unfornate especially in the big event like that. But still,.. Khan won that fight CONVINCINGLY. He was too fast, he fought the smart fight, he got tagged by a couple of flush left hooks in the chin, and he took it like nothing. And for that, we should not make any excuses for the great Barrera's defeat.

As you can see, MAB rocked Khan really good with prolly his best shots there. Khan proved that he progressed technically under Freddie Roach, but he still has pretty shitty chin.

And also, MAB failed to carry his strenght at 135. Fighting Khan just proved that.

Khan's comments as posted by Fenster show a complete lack of class. To say he would have knocked out Barrera "brutally" within two or three rounds is bullshit. Khan could have said that the win was flawed and given Barrera credit for fighting through the toughest adversity, but no, he talks up himself and talks down Barrera.

No, I think I do dislike Khan. I was trying to be reasonable but when you hear comments like that?? Well, screw him. His attitude sucks and he's heading for a KO loss sooner rather than later. It's not just the fans either. I have been reading a lot of the reports of the fight in the UK media, and so many of them are taking this win as having some kind of meaning. Where do these writers earn their knocks?? It is totally absurd and I cannot believe the nonsense being spouted.

Barrera has been cast aside as an old has been, and Khan as the new arising hero. Total and utter bollocks! That was a freak fight and not a reflection on anything meaningful.
