Unless floyd also wants to fight the editors of every P4P list maker out there, I think he was just doing this for publicity which is why he was on the show in the first place.
Don't know man. I never remember seeing Cossell lose it before, but I didn't see all his work. I also can tell you from seeing almost every floyd interview he wasn't faking. What was fake was floyd being calm at the end. He was pissed and then tried to act like it wasn't real, but it was. it was good pub, but I think both of the guys got emotional - for real.

I don't doubt that at least on Mayweather's part but I think he was just talking about the antagonistic relationship Ali and Cossell had when he said that, I think it was on Friday Night Fights when he said that because I couldn't find it on Youtube but I do remember it.

Anyways, Mayweather has been annoyed it seems on his whole media tour this week. I think all those interviews were on the same day as his NY press conference because he is in the same shirt, even though they've appeared on different days. But obviously he's going to be annoyed because he thinks he's better then Pacquiao and Pacquiao is now boxing's new big attraction and he fights with a more crowd pleasing style so it's put a bit of a chip on Floyd's shoulder but Kenny will interview Mayweather again and I doubt either have any hard feelings.

He does seem a bit pissed off I agree but I think that's about the situation in general.

Yup Floyd, Shane has 5 losses because he has a warrior mentality, a nut sack, and a belief that he is the best and thus shouldnt shy from a challenge of pitting himself against the best.

He has been fighting full size real deal welterweights for half his career. And hes got about the same physique as you too floyd aka stuttering stanley

"Why would I fight Shane Mosley? he has 5 losses."

Even though it was a practiced, premeditated response spoon fed by his advisors to him you can see right through his fragile words.

As much as like floyd and hold in him the as the heir to the p4p crown left by roy jones... he pissed me off with that "shane has five losses" crap...

Shane is also one my favorites...

but Floyd fought who oscar had 4 losses, baldomir had 9, gatti had 6, and sharmba mitchell had 4, two of which were stops...so he can STFU with that shit..in fact i truly believe its his uncle roger that's keeping him from shane.

They're carefully waiting on shane to look completely washed in a fight then they will get loud mouthed about fighting shane but will totally forget that "oh shane hs 5 losses"... cocksuckers...that really pissed me off because shane has fought his way back to the limelight.

Mayweather did spout an awful lot of nonsense in that interview and it was all the more funny for it. Brian Kenny won that little tussle quite handily. Mayweather loses his composure so easily in interviews. He's quite the opposite in the ring though.

I think its more about the "monday morning quarterback" syndrome that everyone has esp reporters and fans...It annoys fighters like Floyd, hell even merchant with all his respect for shane used to criticize him when he was p4p no1. Floyd doesn't respect people that don't compete in the sport commenting on his fights or ability when they've never laced up. He also in other interviews doesn't respect the ones that have competed in the sports commenting if they don't meet his acceptable standard of "good" or whatever.

And I totally get that, because while everyone cries about wanting to see the best perform, when floyd does fight the best, and maximizes his ability the fight gets called boring. But if he stuck his neck out and ended up like gerald mcclellan...How many of them would donate to the help floyd fund?

Personally I thought Kenny was the one in the wrong there.

You call a fighter to do an interview and question his wins and desire to fight, what are you expecting?

I am now a Mayweather fan

And Mayweather brings up a great point. Why is he to big for Marquez, but not Pacquiao?
He is too big for both of them. He admits as much himself. I posted a link where he says that he should beat them because they are small.

To answer your question, however, this is Marquez's first fight above 135 and he only fought twice at 135. This fight is at 144. That is a 10 pound jump for one fight. Thus, there is an argument isn't as big, at least not yet.

i agree! that's why pbf "should" win these fights if not shame on him.
PBF is continuing his legendary legacy against GREAT but smaller fighters instead of fighting natural welterweights.

It's all about publicity. Floyd knows how to market himself. It's just an act to make people hate him but still fork over the money to watch him fight. He knows how to play the game well. And Brian Kenny is just helping him market himself.

LOL, way too much being read into this, this ended up the way both guys wanted it to period.

If Floyd Mayweather wanted somebody else to interview him, they'd get somebody else to interview him, yet he always wants Kenny to do it. Why? Because he wants this type of interview, hell he even started this time, I mean practically the first thing he said was something about Brian Kenny not knowing anything about boxing.

And the next time you see him on ESPN who will be interviewing him? I guarantee you it will be Brian Kenny which should tell you everything need to know.
