1. Why is the Marquez camp so silent?
2. Mayweather should subject himself to an independent medical examination
unfair to the other fighter, unfair to the public...
I just can't believe that Floyd would attempt to pull off something as BS as skipping the Marquez fight and moving on, was never totally thrilled about the fight but that would be a bitch move period. I don't think he will, he may, amazing I know, be hurt.

Mayweather dogs it with bruised ego, x-rays show L'il
"It's a legitimate injury. We have talked to a doctor. My understanding is that it is muscle related. It's a tough injury for Floyd because he was looking to fight twice this year. Now he is probably only going to get to fight once."--GOLDEN BOY CEO RICHIE RICH SCHAEFER TO SPORTS ILLUSTRATED.
Unconfirmed reports have Floyd Mayweather Jr. suffering from more than a rib injury which is said to have caused cancelation of his July 18 PPV bout against Juan Manuel Marquez.
The ultra arrogant Boxer We Love To Hate is said to be recovering from an extremely acute and badly bruised super ego which was evdiently damaged over the weekend as Manny Pacquiao accepted the 2008 Fighter of the Year Award and then was showered with love and respect by 17,000 Puerto Ricans (Miguel Cotto) fans at Madison Square Garden.
"I tried to get Floyd away from the TV and the Internet this weekend so he would not see all that needless glorification of that tomato can from the Philippines," Mayweather right hand and left hand man Laughing Lenny Ellerbe said. "I figured let;s get PBF over to a strip joint and let him make dollars bills rain on some dancers. I wanted a distraction from the parade of good Pacquiao news but I didn't get it done."
I am also hearing from an impeached source in Las Vegas that PSB, Pretty Sick Boy, is under the exclusive and expert care of a medical trio at Valley Hospital. The troika consists of Dr. Moe, Dr. Larry and Dr. Curley.
A preliminary check of one medical report indicates Mayweather may not be able to participate in his beloved sabong for at least six months. But maybe he can claw his way back into that.
Someone familiar with x-rays taken of Mayweather’s sore and not spare ribs say they reveal nothing except for:Remnants of three cheeseburgers with ketchup;Four right hand shots thrown by a mini flyweight who makes Ivan Calderon and Rodel Mayol look like BOTH of the Klitschko Brothers; What looks like a note reminding PBF to pour more “duck sauce” on feared opponents such as Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and, listed as Enemy Number One and worst threat, Manny Pacquiao;Unasnwered tax penalty letters from the IRS.

"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
I somehow imagine that Cotto's style can make Floyd shine and look great. Not so sure about Cotto's power lately and his speed and defense is nothing compared to Floyd. Cotto could pull it off of course, there's always that chance, but I would give Floyd the edge on this one.Reason being is Cotto is no longer the same fighter and Mayweather strongly believe that he can take Cotto out now
I wonder if all these fights being cancelled and posponed have to do with bad economy = people not buying luxuries/entertainment.
Cotto has become a "smarter fighter." I don't think any1 expected him to KO Clottey. But, heck, he did knock him down with a jab!
Usually I refer to smarter fighters as "b****es", but I have nothing but respect for Cotto. He has stood in the furnace with some big hitters (Torres/Judah) and outboxed others (mosley/marg).
For PBF he will have to apply that relentless pursuit we have only seen shadows of in the past few fights. He's just so damn patient now. IMO that won't work against "the cash cow".. oops I mean "the ass clown."

As much as I hate Floyd viscerally, I am certain his injury is real, I don't see much how it would pay him to postpone the whole deal. At worst, he has an injury but it's not to the ribs and he lied about it to not hint the opposite camp.

Bruce lee you are wrong; that is part of an older english, as it has adapted, boughten is usable in a grammatical fashion. Hence why it is in webster. Bought and Boughten both exist in past and present tense. Usually boughten is used in pass tense in modern language, and likely will adapt into "the" word for pass tense "buy" in the future.
