Wow! I'm surprised Geale got a decision. I mean, a lot a rounds were close so I can see how he could have gotten it, but just surprised that he got it in Germany is all.

Good fight surprised at 8-4 either way, but can we know stop doging germany for shit judging I had sturm edging it but some of those rounds were really really close and if I watched it iagain I may see it the other way, wonder if they had a rematch clause?

Also wtf is up with sturm abandoning the jab at times When he uses it he's pretty fucking good, when he doesn't he's less than ordinary

I thought Geale had it by a round. I only missed round 8...
What a fight. Not a complete action fight. Sturm is hard to lure into a brawl, naturally, but it was a TENSE fight.

Geale landed more variety of shots. He has legit power, and he was better conditioned down the stretch. Sturm kept trying to slow the pace down all through the fight, and there were so many times Geale figured out how to make him work.

Congrats to Geale. I think he can fight Pirog and get a good payday.

The winner can get Martinez after he wipes the floor with Chavez

His jab is brilliant, but that's about 80% of his offence. I think Geale did so much better fighting on the inside, and did better bodywork.

Who did you think won? And thank u again 4 the link!

Not really. How does any qualified judge call that an 8 to 4 fight let alone 3 of them? It still shit judging.

Also this might finally make sturm leave germany once again, and well he was bound to have a close one not go his was, but I really thought he edged it on the cleaner work but was to lazy in some of the rounds. Hopefully tonights matchups are good ones to, congrats to geale he certainly came to fight

Ironic that Dave Parris was the deciding factor in giving it to the Aussie. Good luck Danny, I think it was Sturms but close and for once he did not get the help he usually does.

I missed 2 rounds but had sturm 6-4 so the best geale could have gotten was a draw for me, but sturm was bound to have a close one go against him even at home sooner or later. Yeah he didn't show much variety today but even as much as his jab is his offence there were times when he abandoned it, he's at his best when he constantly uses it. I bet the rounds he wond clearly he flicked out I don't know thirty or forty of em

Got to agree with ya can't feel to bad for sturm he's had many a close one go his way, as I said before none of them outright robberies, but close fights that could have gone either way that went to him due to being the hometown guy. Sturm makes for usually exciting and entertaining fights I'm sure he'd be much more liked and well known outside of germany if the odlh fight didn't turn him into a hometown fighter.

I was just refering to germany being doged on for unfair judging, yet other countries seem to have that issue just as much but don't get nearly the flack

Sturm, Abraham, the Klitschkos and others all get the benefit of the doubt in Germany. Tonight was different.

Great win for Geale. Most of what I have read suggests Geale won according to most but the actual scores are a bit odd. Going into the fight I heard Geale comment that he was glad that he had the IBF officials there also to hopefully keep an eye on the scoring. Seems to have helped. Go DANIEL!!
