Peterson jumps on Holt right away withe measured pressure, Holt trying to fend him off with jab, Peterson keeps coming. Left hook to the body of Holt solid impact. Holt's punches have definitely lost some steam. Left hook from Holt rocks Peterson, but he comes back with a left hook of his own. Holt ties up. Peterson tagging the body now and Holt ties up. Holt warned for holding the ropes. Peterson back to business and Holt appears to be melting away now. Mean bodywork by Peterson now. Holttrying to fire back, but he is badly outgunned.

Holt popping a lot of shots and clinches. Peterson just walking forward. Holt Clinches. Holt just placing shots, there's nothing on them. Holt clinches. Left hook from Holt lands. jab from Peterson. This is one of the better fights I can ever recall seeing on ESPN FNF, Peterson looking unbeatable at the moment., but slowing down just a bit.

Holt starts bouncing. trying to jab, Peterson stalking patiently. Holt clunches. Holt clinches. Holt able to work his way off the ropes. Peterson lands a few piston strong jabs. Peterson starts pounding Holt on the ropes. Weeks steps in and waives it off

Don't think it has much to do with peterson bein much better all of the sudden, more to do with the opponent.

Holt stopped on the ropes, good stoppage because he was getting lit up. Holt hung tough but he looked out of steam after 3rd

Ref stops the fight, officially an 8th round TKO for Peterson. TBH, I didn't think Peterson had this much in him, good win for him, he pretty much manhandled a tough opponent in Holt.

So I guess this makes Lamont a player again at the championship level @ Jr. welter.

How do think Peterson would do against D. Garcia, Rios, or Lucas Matthysse?
