    Default World Star Hip Hop

I'm fairly open minded in regards to different cultures but can someone explain this to me? The flashing money, the sagging pants, the flashing of mostly ILLEGAL firearms, the constant "Look at me, OOOH OOOH I need attention!!!", the horrible rapping, the fights, the dog fighting, etc....

What good is that "culture" to society? What positives does it bring to the table?

That's just a taste of what World Star Hip Hop offers....your thoughts?

It's a cesspool and offers nothing to anything, but I think it's quite sad at the same time. The African-American contribution to art and pop culture in the 20th century was enormous and incredible, yet was shunned or at least vastly unrecognized for the longest time. I think sadly a lot of the "hip hop attitude" stems from that same kind of ignorance. That's not to say for a second there isn't a lot of great hip hop, or artists who are perfectly amicable, but a lot of the surrounding image is hateful and obnoxious and it strikes me that is sort of a vindictive measure.

I really don't understand how rap/hip hop fell to the point where this kind of idiotic bullcrap is tolerated.

Originally the music was supposed to be fun or tell about the harsh realities of growing up in the inner cities the same way Blues and Jazz started. If you take a song like 'The Message' by Grandmaster Flash it's a cry for help/cry for action but that kind of message over the years devolved into a glorification of all that was wrong and needed to be fixed in 'The Message' and now we have World Star Hip Hop and it's just lowest common denominator garbage and the images and language do nothing but inflate the very worst stereotypes.

I understand it's not a white guy's job/place to say "That shit isn't right" but hell even guys like Bill Cosby catch shit for trying to call out the blatant ignorance of a sliver of society who provide nothing positive to society but are yet still protected from criticism for some odd reason. And believe you me there are a shit ton of idiot pathetic worthless white people around, but I would not for 1 second keep someone of any race/religion/ethnicity from saying the truth about those scum of the earth people that I just happen to share a race with.

It just boggles my mind what these guys in the videos do a lot of which is blatantly illegal and there are no cops around, nobody calling the cops, and then it's put on the internet and it's like everyone just lets it happen....I will guarantee you nobody NOBODY wants that shit in their neighborhood.

And to be quite fair, p4pking, you're 100% correct African-American contribution to art and pop culture from the very start of the United States is amazing and something I am in awe of, but this tiny little segment of the population is so self destructive and randomly violent it is terrifying but also quite a shame because you never know what kind of talent has succumbed to that kind of lifestyle or has been extinguished purposely or accidentally because of that lifestyle.

    For crying out loud.

Do you sit in your house with padded walls scared to leave.

    Stop worrying and start living.

Theres lots of other things that are worse than this that can be found on certain racist websites and political parties in goverment that use an eveb scarier undertone but are actually robbing us even more financially.

I just think you need to stop worrying and creating too much stress for yourself or your going to end up in a george zimmerman scenerio.

    Chill out.

It brings nothing to the table. I think calling it a "culture" is giving it too much credit. It's not a culture. It's a sector of population who, in the amoeba-to-humans continuum, is somewhere between the garden slug and the maggots that grow in week-old shit. Unfortunately, it's a "fad" that feeds on itself. Too many "mentally-challenged" youths idolize and mimic these moronic fuckers, and the scenes perpetuate themselves. I'm of the radical, old-school mentality, where I feel these bastards should be rounded up, beaten senseless, and castrated to prevent any offspring.

The same guy who hates the idea of disabled people empowering and strengthening themselves through sport and striving for acceptence and deeper understanding by this being shared with the world is now sympathetic of poor people and is criticising somebody for being 'elitist'? Wow...

You don't have to look far for examples of you being a pompous, elitist snob... For you to call anybody else one is comically ludicrous.

Anybody else talking about worldstar and you'd be going on rants about how 'vile' it was, but seeing as Lyle represents the Western Status Quo that you loathe so much, he's automatically going to be argued with, you can't help it.

Interesting. You have nothing to add to the thread, no criticism of Lyle, and all to have a rant at me. The mighty me who has hurt your little feelings in times past.

I am elitist to the extent that Andre has quoted above. I don't think it matters who the fastest person with no legs is. I really don't. I really don't think any second child should be supported by my taxes. I am an elitist in that regard. However, I am a man of the working classes or even nothing classes and I believe you need to be given the oportunities to shine and that means access to a doctor, a teacher and if that doesn't help you then you have a rocky road. It also means society working in the interests of all and not only the super rich. In that sense I am not elitist and am not from that and have never been a part of it. I manipulate the system, but I'm never of the system.

Everything that I have today is achieved by rejecting what every single one of my old classroom friends is. A low paying person living in the hometown. I don't live in my hometown, I don't live in my country, I don't follow the rules, I don't breed to satiate government growth lust. I play by my own rules. I am different. I don't play the game. If a man with no legs wants to be a teacher or a doctor then brilliant. I genuinely approve of the idea. But the Olympics is nonsense and both handicapped and non-handicapped Olympics is nonsense.

My views on being different are nothing to do with elitism. My views on being different are about needing to be self sufficient and free of tyranny. Like it or not the West is heading towards tyranny. My take on being different is simply abstaining from those systems of control. You will always be under a government, but some are more free than others. To be an elitist means that you are a banker or a Tory and I am neither.

I'm only a snob when it comes to rejecting ordinary things that bore me. It's good to be a snob sometimes. Most people don't read books and one should frown upon discourse with people who have little to say.

Why do the Paralympics bother you so much? No one forces you to care about them, it doesn't cost you anything, why so hateful?

Children should be cared for by their parents and NOT by the government, I agree 100% but if you're on about taxes then perhaps you have an opinion on property taxes people have to pay to fund education. Not all the taxpayers have children and not all of the children go to public schools and those poor parents get a double whammy tuition for the private school AND property taxes to pay for the public school as well.

The crux of your rant is that you're a special snowflake and you don't have to raise a finger to help society but the "wealthy elitists" MUST by force of law help society....so you're clearly a hypocrite and proud of it...typical liberal.....TYPICAL, not special, not an individual precious little snowflake, but plain, average, worthless, and TYPICAL.

You believe you're special for reading books? Do you want a fucking medal for doing what the average 6 year old can do?

Again, you're well off topic and if you truly cared about "the working man" & the lower socioeconomic classes then you'd agree with me 100% that the "culture" shown in the videos I've posted is no good for anyone. It is a culture that laughs at and ridicules those who seek out knowledge and as an educator yourself one would assume that would strike a nerve with you....but apparently not. Apparently you don't truly care about those people.

Eh? Again, would the Olympics have any appeal if it was based upon family income groupings? No, it wouldn't. It is based upon either being good with no legs or good with legs. Either way, it doesn't help a doctor or a teacher. I don't care about any Olympics, it's daft.

If we are talking property, then I believe property should be taken at the point of death and redistributed. Then there would be no need for this nonsense of making poor people work until death. I also include the Royal family. Take their property and wealth and make them live like we all do. No special rules for Tim 'nice but dim'. Anything that I have at death should of course be put back into society, and the same for ALL others. That is where society has gone wrong. It isn't put back, they breed, and think they can have their shit rise. No, it shouldn't.

The crux of my argument is that I am beautiful and lovely, but we need to redistibute. I've no issues with that. I plan on getting old and doing the best I can, but when I am gone it goes back. I started with nothing, I shall end with nothing. That is just, that is the point. I may be a snowflake, but I'm also one who has manipulated the system and could easily rest for a decade and much more if he so desired and do so in a fair degree of opulence. The point is that nothing can achieve a lot and one shouldn't feel angry about losers like you with your petty insults and silly name calling.

You are the loser and have to live in a police state, I encourage people to rebel. That is the difference. The class I am from has nothing to lose whilst you and your group loses everything. It is easy for people like me to be, but I am a freak.
