Amateur pedigree be damned.
I’ve always said boxing is the only sport in the world where you don’t have to have great technique to be a top fighter. You want to be a top Tennis player ? Golfer ? Simmer ? Runner ? You’re going to have to have near perfect technique, but boxing isn’t like that because it’s just two guys trying to punch each other in the face.
I didn’t give a single round to Wardley, not that it would have made a difference..
That was the definition of being overconfident for Hunni.
I remember I went to the Zoo in the large cats section and the Zookeepers, go in there, to feed them, I’ve watched them, the cats are behind a cage but not for one second do those Zookeepers take their eyes off the cats
NOT FOR A SECOND !!!
They know where they are. They know to never let got of their fear and attention. They never relax..
Hunni relaxed. Let go of his fear. Allowed Wardley to get too close and have too easy access. It’s like you can walk into the white house “Hey Trump, how's it goin ?...... I’m doing great...... Don't worry about Elon" and you keep walking down the corridor
YOU'RE NOT GONNA GET THAT FAR !!!!!
When Hunni is at this level and you know you don't have great power or chin and the fight was done and won ? You jab, then move your head, so you don’t get hit with a right hand. Expect a right hand. Don't throw back. He's gonna throw a grenade in. Get outta there.
IT HAS TO BE !!!!!
Hunni punches with his arm meaning he doesn't doesn't get his hips into his punches and Huni needs to improve his fight IQ because he wasn’t being hunted down like Dubois done to AJ and why was he so graceous in defeat ? He just showed exactly how to beat Wardley, well until he didn’t.
And the KO ? Gotta say sh*tty camerawork by DAZN to go to the promoters while Huni was down. We couldn’t see how hurt he was or when he was trying to get up.
The count felt quick. If this was the other round and it was Wardley who was way ahead on points but got knocked down in the 10th I'm pretty sure the ref would have told Wardley to walk towards him or barked at Huni to stay in the neutral corner to give Wardley some recovery time. It was a bit of a british stoppage. Even jelly legged fighters get asked come to me your hands up etc. None of that just instant wave off.
As for Wardley, he’s not improving and is basic with a poor defense. He looked done and close to quitting. He's gonna get hurt bad once he meets a fighter who can crack and has a chin but because he’s game as F he'll make it hard for the ref or corner to stop it because he'll just keep throwing. Especially them knowing he has one punch KO power.
But I would'nt even put him in the same room as an Agit Kabayel
