Do you really not understand that, due to issues of community and identity, a black person can say something about black people that it's not OK for you to say as a white person? Moreover, the fact that Joyner is black doesn't make it true that "all black people are bad tippers," nor does it give you sufficient ground to jump to YOUR statement that "it's well known that black people are bad tippers" (which, I'll point out for you since you're so good at missing the point--is not something "[you] said about Tom Joyner" (except, of course, to the extent that he's black so you're calling him a bad tipper)).

I cheer for the fighters whose styles I like, not for the ones who share my skin color (unless they happen to be the ones with great style).

Mexican fans rooting for boxers from Mexico is not the same thing as a white American rooting for white fighters mroe than black (American) fighters. One is nation-based (like the Olympics) and the other is race-based.

Cheers for this, but I am still struggling a bit. How can someone be 'asian' (like they are from a whole continent) Does that mean that Koreans have the same generosity levels as Vietnamese for example? But then what about Chinese that are born and bred in san Francisco compared to Chinese born and bred in london - will they be the same? Does a generation gap exists amongst these countiries or cultures or is it acceptable to just lump them all together as they are diferent to us and call them 'Asian' as if that really meant anything realistic?
Then there are the Mongolians, the Uzbeks, Tatars, Japanese, Han, Tibetans, Nepalese etc etc. India is in Asia too, so are all indians exactly the same as everyone else. Indonesians and Sri Lankans - who should you serve first thus guaranteeing the largest tip

Your right tipping in America is way out of hand, read some stuff on tipping etiquette here and it's just a joke. Your supposed to tip in a restaurant since the waiters only make a couple dollars an hour so I give 15 to 20 % and thats a good tip. But reading this stuff they say you should tip your hairdresser, your mechanic, you grass cutting service, your paper boy, your mail man, you name it and they all have their hands out wanting extra for a service you just paid more for then it's worth. You want good service from your motorcycle service department, bring them some donuts or a 12 pack of beer after you just spent 20 grand on a bike. I could go on and on buts that enough, you get the idea. The only ones I will tip are waiters and the tip is only as good as the service, so if the service is bad 15 to 20 % is out of the question.
