Who REALLY won the Hatton vs Collazo fight?

Collazo won, to be the man you have to beat the man you can just hold all night and trow rabbit punches and win a fight. yes he did come forward all night but its not like Collazo was scared he fought him and outboxed him IMO. So Collazo victory or a draw at best for Hatton but NO he did not win.

Hatton threw more, landed more, had better success rate, landed a lot more power punches, worked harder, was more aggressive. forget the eye catchin combinations cos they don't win you fights. Take your 'i hate the hitman' glasses off and watch the fight again...scoring it round by round.

If you watch that fight objectively and score each round individualy and still think Collazo clearly won, you need to have a word with yourself

Definately I think that Collazo is the winner, but for some odd reason judges gave it to Hatton. Collazo was more tactical and sure in his punches. I am dissapointed.

Who knows how much money Hatton won in that fight against Collazo?

I think it is you who needs to take his "I LOVE RICKY HATTON" glasses off and watch the fight as what it should have been a BOXING match and see who boxed better not who was holding and rabbit punching and pushing the opponents' head down.

I was at the fight along with a group of about ten-fifteen Hatton fans.

On the night in the Arena i thought Rick had lost/drew

The rest of the group had mixed feelings with no one having much confidence in there prediction.

However after watching the fight in Boston airport and again in Manchester i think Rick won and that the scoring was about right. He threw and landed the most punches and was by far the agressor from the first bell. Collazzo had a fantastic twelve round and its a round Rick would probably rather forget.

The world does not know Hatton lost, nor did any of the commentators on the version I saw, or the 3 judges, or the majority of people on here - can you show us which rounds Collzo won on yr card ?

The only thing I know for sure is that it was one dam close fight! When I got a chance to watch it at the end I thought that Hatton had it, but when I added up my card I had Collazo 114-113.

A fight this close you can change the winner of the fight by having the other fighter winning 1 a different round. I dont think you could have scored the 12th 10/8 because Hatton got it back together too quickly and in my opinion it could not have been a draw either because of the KD in the 1st.

The fight was so close it just depened on how the judges were scoring the fight. I would like to see a reamatch, I dont think Hatton was at his best that night.

i thought Hatton won due to the early Knockdown, if he wouldn't of ever scored the knockdown, it would have been a draw

Like alot of folk here when I initially saw the fight Collazo's flashy combinations were dragging me torward one conclusion, but when watching the replay I thought differently. Don't give up on the hitman yet, hopefully in a rematch he'll win in style.
