I said it a million times. HBO doesn't even want anyone badmouthing him as was proven when Jim Lampley cut Harold Lederman off in the Wlad vs Byrd post fight analysis in the middle of saying "holding is illegal and unfair". He cut him off, just not in time. If anyone has access to that post it or at least watch it. If that's not proof enough then I don't know what is.
He got "cut off" because as he was bitching. while Wlad was in the process of devestating Byrd......

I think that Lampley is just tired of the horsesh@t excesuses people who dislike Wlad make. The guy is very obviousy the best out there at the moment and either those who don't know heavyweight boxing or those who dislike him for other reasons are the only ones who don't think so.

Harold was still bitter over the Peter fight because he was one of the many who thought that either:

    A) Wlad didn't have the heart to finish the fight

    B) Wlad didn't have the chin to finish the fight

    C) Wlad didn't have the stamina to finish the fight

Yes and a year ago this was the complaint list for all the Wlad haters.

AND NOW that he's proven those points inaccurate, everyone's crying about holding.
    It just never F****** ends.

What will it be next year??

Your buddy Hulk knows what I'm talking about because he was one of the whiners reading off the above mentioned list.

Sorry to reply so late but I haven't been on in over a week. He didn't cut him off during the fight. It was afterwards during the ;post fight interviews so pay attention. I;'m also sorry to hear that you;'re such a big fan of his cause his reign will be short lived so enjoy it while you can. Trust me, you'll be eating crow really soon.

You must dislike the guy quite a bit to have this fresh in your mind after a whole week.

And if Santa Claus doesn't bring you another Wlad loss....then what You gonna fess up about the guys talent or you gonna make excuses for everyone that falls at his feet while staying up at night clamping your hands tightly together praying for someone with the talent to take him out

My prediction is your prediction is dead wrong......hate on all you like my friend no one's stopping you.

Until your ready to name another heavyweight with more talent than Wlad right now....don't bother replying to my post...or do but don't expect a reply until you can produce a reasonable argument.
Byrd was not going to beat him with or without the holding but Peter would have definitely beat him. I'm not here for your replies, just to let the truth be known.

He outboxed Peter silly.....there was no contest. You can talk about holding all day and night but at the end of the day, Peter was simply outclassed.

If your so into the truth, I think it's pretty fair to say that the truth is that there's not many out there who can beat him right now. For some, that's a hard truth to swallow, but it's the truth nevertheless.

The truth is the man's winning...

The truth is that he is taking the toughest fights out there right now.

The truth is that he has skill.

The truth is that he's not the most popluar heavy out there, but that doesn't have S*** to do with his ability.

    That's the truth.

A bit of advice....don't keep your fingers crossed to tightly, it may F*** up the blood circulation to your head and cause you to post stupid S***...

or maybe it's already too late.
It's funny how you said that you wouldn't reply until I named a better Heavyweight and I mentioned Peter and you replied instantly.LMAO ....... Anytime I mention Peter to Wlad fans, they go nuts cause they know that with a competent ref in there, he would have never won that fight. Granted, outside of Peter, no one else has a shot at beating him. Peter's power and chin are both out of this world and that is just too much for Wlad to contend with. I would be very surprised if Wlad fought him again cause he's obviously terrified of him the way he held on like a broad on prom night. If they do fight again though, don't be surprised if Peter retires his a**. Then again, don't be surprised if Briggs puts it on him.
Peter's not even close. He's more well fitted for a toughman competition. Peter's eyes were closed at the end of the fight and he was breathing ridiculousy heavy. At one point, they had the poor f***** laying back on his stool. I've watched that fight at least 7 or 8 times since. To all the Wlad fans that was a meaningful fight because he got up after the one legit knockdown and the 2 clubbibngs to the back of the head and won that fight by a unanimous landslide. In that one fight Wlad proved he had the stamina, the heart, and the skills to win.

And the judges counted 3 knockdowns and still the fight wasn't even close!!!! And that fight will be remebered as the turning point for Wlad.

As a matter of fact, if I were you I probably wouldn't have drawn attention to that fight.

Thing that gets me about Peter, is that he gets a shot at the title, loses and then goes back to fighting complete D-level opposition. By doing that, he's admitting that he doesn't belong in the top 15.

Now, finally he's going back up to fight Toney, a man who shouldn't possibly be able to knock him out. A lovely choice of opponents, an over-the-hill plumped up heavyweight with little power who's living off of what he's done in the past.
All he has to do is all he ever does....go bullcharging in there without any real strategy and start swinging his mittens uncontrollably until something lands.

With that pick and those statements you're showing how little you know about the sport. I'd give Briggs a way way way better shot at beating Wlad. Hell, I'd give Valuev a better shot at beating Wlad than Peter.

    Any other brilliant picks??

I dont think you can judge Wlad by the Peter fight. Peter couldnt land anything solid on Wlad and he sure as hell isnt going to land anything on JToney. Wlad never took any solid shots to his face/chin, so I think the jury is still out on Wlad whether he is a new fighter or just hasnt had to be tested yet. I think the Briggs fight might answer some of those questions. Wlad unquestionable has the most talent of the heavies, but unless he can prove he can use that talent in the ring then it dont mean a thing.

Toney has way more skill than Wlad IMO....its only that Toney pales in comparison physically.....

I bet Toney gets knocked down less than Wlad though against Peter though!! :P

Im not a massive Wlad fan, but its obvious that he has key advantages over most in the divsion...

ALL three knockdowns were 100% legit. When a man turns his back to you, then gets clubbed in the side or near the back of the head, then its his own damn fault. Just like when Joe Fraizer turned his back and trotted away from Big George and George let him have it, THAT was a knockdown, and rightfully so. Wlad did show heart in that fight, and some skills I admit he won it on points fair and square. By the end exhaustion, partly due to excessive holding and riding by Wladimir, had Peter hurt, and Wlad then landed a clean shot and still could'nt drop Peter. It was an odd fight and both guys showed heart and flaws. Now Peter should be given credit for fighting a guy who is clearly the best boxer in the division and hardest to hit, Toney is certainly a tougher challenge than beating up on an old Byrd who should have lost 3 of his last 4 fights before facing Wlad. Stop hatin on Toney and Peter like they're chumps, cus they most certainly are not. Ain't never seen either of them Knocked out.
I love telling these Klitheads the facts about their guy. They go absolutely nuts. The thing is that I used to be a fan of Wlad even after his losses. I thought he had enough talent to bouce back and rule the division but after that hug and push fest against Peter, I realized that he ain't nothing unless he fights with his own rules.

There is nothing more ugly and boring than a hugger....I like a bit of inside work, but when you are just held and unable to move, it kind of goes against what it is in boxing I like....

I wanna see Tua get his 4 fights in this year and then have a crack at Wlad....could be interesting!!

Denial......it's all I can say. Peter got his a** beat period. You can blame it on holding, or a bad ref or the rain for that matter but the fat mofo had 12 rounds to get rid of Wlad and couldn't do it. Now since when is a hit to the back of the head legal?

And I can't believe you're still picking JT ...his mediocrocy was highlighted in his bout with Rahman. What's your excuse for that??

You really don't know jack S*** about the game, do you?? From your wrong picks to your focked up perspective and analysis of the sport!!

You post like a goddamn child half of the time too?

    Whats wrong with you?

Really, were you dropped on your head when you were little?

Did some older sibling used to blow pot smoke in your ear

I used to just ignore you because I thought you were some looney little kid running around on the forum making bad picks and talking crap about everyone's fighter.

But somedays, even a looney little kid needs a wake up call. So do me a favor...stand up, walk down the hall to your parents room or guardian or handler or whoever has to watch over you, and tell them you need a spanking...or a time out... or whatever they do to keep your wild little a** under control...tell them that mucho said so...tell them that you have picked too many wrong fighters and that your fight analysis is crap. Tell them that you've been annoying on the forum for much too long and that you need to be supervised for a little while.

And don't write back with some goddamn sob story about who and who doesn't watch over you......I'm really not interested..just as long as whoever is responsible for you can take some corrective action here.

You know honestly, as much as I would hate to say it, if anyone, Briggs is a complete fighter & has what it takes to be heavyweight champion! He may popp Wlad on the chin & we all know the outcome of that!!!!! I give it a 50/50

You are the child buddy. Besides my picks aren't so bad, I mean aside from picking Mayorga to beat Oscar I was also stupid enuff to pick:
BERNARD HOPKINS TO BEAT ANTONIO TARVER, COTTO TO BEAT MALINAGGI, MOSLEY TO BEAT VARGAS AND MOST RECENTLY ROY JONES JR. TO BEAT PRINCE BADI AJAMU. Not too shabby for a guy who always picks wrong huh?
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
