Clottey -vs- Margarito possible for Dec 2nd ! That's what im talking about !

At least the Clottey fight would be meaningful, Rivera would be a waste of time & wouldnt prove anything for Margarito. He is definately in the mix at 147 but needs to keep fighting top opposition if he wants to get in against the big boys.

Id be happy for this fight to come of though, World Welter Champ ( Baldomir) Vs his #1 contender ( Mayweather ). If Margarito keeps winning he will soon get his opportunity. Just has to keep doing what he has been doing.

Agreed Galxy,I'd be devestated if he were to fight Rivera but he said in an interview he had no interest in that fight thankfully! A Clottey fight is looking most likely although Clottey said he was also interested in fighting the winner of Cintron Suarez.

I can see Clottey's logic wanting the winner of Cintron/ Suarez, but a fight with Margarito would prove more for both guys. Margarito would be free & I feel it would be a great fight for fans. I know a lot of guys on this forum love Margarito, but this kid Clottey is like a rock! Would be an easy ride for either guy.

I totally agree with you, it's fine to talk all this talk about being avoided, but he has to fight guys that are going to get him noticed, take fights that make a good case for him, get to the point where everyone wants him.

Are you calling Judah a "lackluster opponent" in general or just saying that he wasn't at his best against Baldomir? I mean, Judah is WAY more skilled than your boyfriend Margarito, and was in fact the real, undisputed, linear welterweight world champion when Baldomir beat him. Yeah, he should have taken Baldomir more seriously. But that doesn't really make your point. Just having Judah on his resume means that Baldomir has faced better competition than, say, Antonio Margarito.

It would be a good fight for Margarito to show what he's got, I'm not saying Judah won't be a difficult assignment but Margarito ain't no pug. Margarito would take Judah into the trences, we've all seen how Judah responds under pressure, I feel Judah will be exposed again.

Honestly, I talked so much crap about Baldomir until he showed me his abilities! He in no way is a pushover & will give PBF problems, but PBF will win!
