There is a valid argument about RJJ being the more talented fighter, but you really can't compare the names on the records.
Maybe not the "names" but you can by career opponents.

Because Chavez, Whitaker and were both past their prime and a lot of people think Whitaker beat Oscar. Tito and Mosley both beat Oscar. Roy didn't lose. And did Chavez and Whitaker then go on to add on more to their legacy or were they already at the end of their career by the time Oscar fought them?

Hopkins and James Toney both went on to create legacies and James added on to his too and Hopkins went on to become a legend. Thats why you can't compare Oscar to Roy in that way in my opinion.

And Inflated records when Clinton Woods is the IBF Champ no matter how he got it he got it regardless and Eric Lucas and a lot of your names you put up there went on to have good or great careers after Roy beat them. However the names you gave to Oscar were already at the end of their careers or beat him.

    I like both boxers
In his prime RJJ had the speed and reflexes that could not be matched, but once he got a little older he did not have technique to fall back on.
Oscar has controversial wins, but controversial loses as well. He has probably the best resume of any active boxer. Also, when he is not coasting he is the most exciting boxer to watch.

I guess this being said the ability to be the most exciting boxer to watch is where Oscar dominates RJJ. HBO is a big company and they do their homework.

The reason in your argument is clearly eroded if you think Tito beat Oscar.

How many of Oscar's foe's that he dominated went on to become major world champions after with 2 being legends and one in his prime that are HoF locks?
how many of Jones' foes has he beaten at their best? maybe Toney and that's about it

For the record I thought Oscar beat Tito and Mosely the second time. But I also thought he lost to Sturm and Whitaker. All that being said even in his losses to include Bhop he was never outclassed or beat up. He was losing to Bhop but giving him a better fight than Tito did. The same can't be said for Roy he got soundly beaten by Johnson and Tarver. You can't make and argument for the slew of worthless LHW he beat either. Who cares that Luca/Woods/Harding have gone on to decent careers? In 10 years people be able to look at ODH's record and recognize several names...when people look at Roy's they will see alot of decent records but names they've never heard of.

I believe that Oscar didn't avoid anyone. But neither did Roy Jones just because Roy never really had a challenge until tarver and johnson doesnt mean that he avoided people that could possibly hurt him. its just that it didnt happen until later in his career. What i think is that , its not that he fought nobodys or people that werent up to his level its that thats how he made them look because he was so skilled. You dont become a champion fighting nobodys in order to become a champion you have to fight whoever they give you not who you want all the time.

If you wanna say he was dominated, bring up the Johnson fight, if you are a hater. Roy is the Greatest of all time, and beat all his rivals in his prime. Oscar lost to many of his.
that's a bit much....@ different fighters in weight that is....RJJ was never small. He never grew into 154.. He was already there so the KO by Jones would probably be a correct assumption. but to suggest that ODLH is not on par with RJJ is ludicrous. ODLH lost 2 legit fights , B-HOP and Sugar shane but that's it. Let's compare longevity then. ODLH is still at the top of his game and RJJ is fighting in Idaho!!!!!!!!!!

RJJ talks as much shat as JFAT and you're going to jump on ODLH for finally taking a stand. RJJ comments were out of jealousy and ODLH were simply a rebuttal. ODLH is a class act far above anything RJJ could ever accomplish. The good guys win in the end. Keep fighting in Idaho RJJ.

no...he should be angry with himself. his actions outside the ring(dogfighting and cockfighting) have propelled him down to levels ODLH will never see. HBO is right in pushing a fan friendly and outgoing Good guy like ODLH...He has earned it...
