3 scores of 114-111 aint a one sided beat down by the way
For getting a close-up of the canvas as many times as he did in that fight, Wlad was still impressive to me. Here's why:
- He got up. And again. And went on to win. This was something Wlad needed to do to prove he should be where he is.
-He seriously outboxed Peter. Not that that is difficult to do in and of itself, but he looked like the fighter a lot of people want him to be. His jab truly is a ferocious weapon, and that straight right is even worse. If Peter didn't have a chin of steel, he would've been out early.
-Movement. I was very surprised to see Wlad's agility in this fight - for a guy that big, he can actually move.
On the other hand, he did show shades of his former problems with stamina, weak chin, whatever you want to call it. But Peter is a huge puncher, and he did get up, so....for me, the jury's still out. We all know Wlad has the strength and skills to dominate the division. But he still seems very vulnerable to me. I gues I'm just having a hard time putting the images of him falling all over the ring out of my head.
i can guarentee you that IF the fight lasts till round 4...Originally Posted by superheavyrhun

So is that acceptance of the wager then? Personally I don't see Brock winning, but I don't see Wlad being able to put him on his arse within 6, as you seem so confident that he will!Originally Posted by SalTheButcher
in 6?......I'll wager whatever for that, Wlad will most definantly knock him down before then!
100% confident
CC big guy, that's as unbiased an opinion I've seen on here.Originally Posted by bcollins
Wlad has never been "knocked cold" he's always been able to get back up except for when he was so tired vs Brewster....and you could tell he was just tired because he took some BOMBS from Lamon and didn't fall until the bell at the end of the round.
Yes Wlad has his flaws, but all fighters have flaws! Even Ray Robinson and Ray Leonard and Ali....they just have smaller flaws than most other fighters and they try not to let people take advantage of it.
So that being said the key for Wlad is to not let people capitalize on his chin or stamina and the clinching is a big part of it....same thing Lennox Lewis did and for the exact same reasons.
It's one sided when you add in the fact Wlad was knocked down 3 times!Originally Posted by JT Rock
For real! This is what impressed me the most about that fight, i remember posting something along similar lines.Originally Posted by bcollins

Ok think about what you just said....Originally Posted by Lyle
Wlad tasted the canvas 3x you dont get a 1 sided desicion on someone while picking yourself up 3x..... thats why they score knock downs the way they do
Okay, I'll rephrase it...I don't think Wlad can finish it within 6. If you fancy it mate...then I'm up for it. I'm always o/l anyway, so once a day on the CC for seven days is my stake.Originally Posted by Lyle
Wlad isn't undisputed heavyweight championship material. If he does manage to unify the title that would just show how bad the division really is. In a legit heavyweight division, he would be one of those guys that grabs an alphabet belt or two here and there but doesn't run the entire division.Originally Posted by 1st rd ko

OK, I'm game...Wlad KO before the 6th round endsOriginally Posted by superheavyrhun
#1 Wlad IS undisputed heavyweight champ material....who's there to really pose a threat for a full fight?Originally Posted by Punisher136
#2 He's a better BOXER than his brother...Vitali was more durable and relaxed when he got hit.....Wlad hits harder
Wladimir Klitschko 241
Calvin Brock 224
Both are at the same weights they were at for their last fights.....Wlad blast out Chris Byrd in 7 and Brock tried to catch up with Timor for 12.
Good weights for both, they are both in GREAT shape.
Speaking of GREAT SHAPE Evander Holyfield at 217!!!! James Toney should train with him!!!!!
my call is the round after the first round thet klitschko throws something other then a jab or a straight will be the lastOriginally Posted by superheavyrhun
