Slowly read these names out loud to yourself. Seriously. Will McIntyre, Rick Thornberry, Juan Carlos Ferreyra, Evans Ashira, Kabary Salem, Tocker Pudwill, Mger Mkrtchian, Miguel Jimenez, Sakio Bika, Mario Veit (twice). Next up? Peter "I went life and death against Alfonso Gomez" Manfredo. That's how you stay champion for 10 years. That list can't even be called bad. It's is beyond that. It's seriously garbage. Put it this way. If you were to get laser eye surgery in order to stop wearing those binoculars you call glasses. Maybe use some Rogain and covered up that receding hair line and got in the ring. I would put money on you to beat these clowns Calzaghe called opponents. Sick money. No doubt. I would ride you all the way. McIntyre, Pudwill. They got nothing on you. It'll be TKO/KO, under on you every single fight.

THIS WAS MY origional point we dont know how good calzaghe is because 9 out of 10 fighters are bums or has beens.

and it doesnt matter if James Toney didnt beat (although thats a matter of opinion !) many at super middle the fact is he moved to light heavy had good fights then cruiser became champ and even at an older age competes with heavies thats great , not afraid to loose and come back Toney is one of the few fighters today that qwhen u look at his record is like a record from yesteryear lots of fights / warm up fights / and top names on his record.
Calzaghe is not in this league END OF STORY ! AND NOW ITS TO LATE AT 35

Best thing to happen is if Calzaghe retired now, the SMW division wouldn't be held hostage by a man claiming to be the champ but refusing to prove it by fighting the best opponents. The worst thing that could ever happen to the division was when Calzaghe got the Ring belt by fighting no. 3, something that wouldn't have happened if no. 3 hadn't been an American. And now Calzaghe and his fanboys can use the ring belt to claim that he is the best, even though he didn't beat no. 2 to win it

As im writing this im thinking im stupid writing it but are we over estimating how good Joe is the reason he looks so good is to do with who he fights.A few year back he did crap in a fight against one of the bums and after the fight he said im struggling with the weight im moving up did he no he did'nt he stayed at supermiddle so that was an excuse. Then he eventually fights Jeff Lacy wins but he was just overated in my opinion but everyone says god joe's great no he is'nt he's just good. Now i know Jeff injured himself but he was crap in his last fight if he had'nt injured himself he would'nt have looked and done much better it proved to me how overated he really was. Then Joe was gunna fight the winner of Johnson v Woods but does he no now call me mad but woods in recent fights has fought better class than Calzaghe he fought Johnson 3 times Hoye,Gonzalez,Delisle and yes he lost but he fought Jones at his best and recently Joe has only fought Lacy as a name. And are we under estimating Manfredo's ability i watched his last 2 fights lastnight and i have to say i was impressed he was my favourite in the contender but i thought lastnight he was 10 times better Roach has done a great job and i bet he will get even better also i watched his interview for the Calzaghe fight and he was saying you don't get time to train properly for contender and obviously you never know who you will fight so you can't focus. He has a great chin and i can't help but think he will give him a better fight than Lacy i think Calzaghes in for a fight and im looking forward to it now but Joe needs to wake up and realise he has thrown any chance of him been great away just a few of my opions their.

Iran Barkley. The names of the people's he fought would make Calzaghe piss his pants. Barkley has fought and beat some of the greatest names in boxing. Calzaghe won't even face, much less beat some of boxing decent names. Toney tortured Barkley, who was much better than the overrated Lacy. Hell I would pick pick Toney victims Charles Williams and Tim Littles over Calzaghe. Calzaghe reminds me of a fighter Iran Barkley beat. Darrin Van Horn. Only not quite as good.
Yes but it's an unequivocal FACT that you're useless at picking fights.

Calzaghe-Woods "can't" happen because their promoter/managers are to busy trying to get one over eachother instead of making quality fights.

Like I said. Calzaghe would piss in his pants if he ever had to face the opponents Barkley faced. And it's pretty easy to win fights when you foul as much as Benn did. When it was a straight up fight Barkley had Benn stumbling all over ready to get knocked out. When it turned into a dirty fight Benn won it easily.

What's your problem with British fighters? You don't have a single good word to say about any of them.

Not a damn thing. I use to be big on Spencer Oliver as a fighter. Always enjoyed watching Naseem Hamed. And currently like watching Alex Arthur. Are they not British fighters?

I feel like crying when i read some of the shit that some of you lot write .

Joe Calzaghe also bombed out Eubank , Mittchell , Viet twice and put on a clinic against Brewer .

He's also beat some very good underated fighters such Mger Miekirchan and Sakio Bika

He has been unlucky with injuries BUT when the bell of destiny sounded against Lacy , Calzaghe put all doubts to rest he stormed through the breech and did the business against a fully blown hard hitting RED HOT 4-1 ON FAVOURITE .

Some of you talk so much bullplop its not funny.

Kessler is a class act but has fought nobody near a Jeff Lacy .
    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=016951

Andrande is good but still unproven . Best name on his record ? Richard Grant . To suggest Calzaghe would risk it against an unproven fighter like him is ludicrous it makes no sense whatsoever
    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=036961

Mundine good on his night but has been exposed already . Best name on his record ? Danny Green ?
    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=014646

I aggree to a certain extent that FW has held Joe C back but he has also tried to make some big fights Hopkins BOTTLED IT with Calzaghe and that is stone Cold fact !!

    Lets look at Hopkins record
    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=001414

His biggest wins were against Light middles any time he fought a fully blown Middle Like Eastman and Taylor he put on wholy negative performences , and then he goes in with Tarver exposes him for what he is but was it a great peformence ?

    No way !

    Look at Winkys record
    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=003600

Some good wins again but against fighters who had already been exposed and who were moving up in weight and or not really explosive punchers .

    He's a quality operator but a safety 1st merchant.

Joe has fought some shit but against the proven quality he as done it the old fashioned way not taking a backward step .

And to whoever said they would take Tim Littles over Joe Calzaghe
    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=004594

    .............Please shut up you idiot
