I didn't think Spinks vs Holmes was very entertaining to be honest and its not underrated its well known that both fights were very controversial.Originally Posted by headson

I thought Iran Barkley vs . Thomas Hearns was underrated. These guys almost destroyed each other physically and mentally on March 20, 1992. Iran Barkley vs. Nigel Benn was good. Barkley vs. Duran in 1989. Alot of Barkley's fights are underrated since he fought that way all the time. As a matter of fact, I have a fight on tape here from ESPN fights which is underrated and the fighters names were Larry King vs. Willie Kemp.. Not a bad fight at all.
I agree with all of what you said except Duran vs Barkley part that was fight of the year 1989 not underrated imo.Originally Posted by LegendBoxing65
Ice , maybe you are right.. By the way, I agreed with you on Witherspoon vs. Larry Holmes in 1985. Spinks really benifitted from Larry being slowed down. Another good fight I remember faintly was Freddie Roach and a guy named Cordova on ESPN in 1985 or so. Good fight.
Foreman-Lyle. That was a fight![]()

How about Salvador Sanchez vs Azumah Nelson ?
Mark Kaylor -v- Errol Christie in 1985 for the British middleweight championship.
Brilliant fight between 2 men that absolutely despised each other.
