Naz would have a slightly better shot at catching JMM than MAB because Marquez is more offensive, but I think he'd get stopped.

Just let go .............. What type of boxed retires after his 1st loss? The type that knows the recipe to beat him is visible to the top boxers thanks in part to MAB. Obviosly your hero had character issues and only would have suffered more losses with the stripping of confidence MAB issued to him that night. Naz simply realized that his best was not good enough. The only thing Naz ever possesed was a punchers chance. But skills ......please ...... the guys is falling all over the ring whether he is losing or winning the round. Naseem Hamed's opponents record http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/1209606.stm is not all that spectacular. What you are living in is the past and I bet the run was fun filled for you Naz fans til MAB ruined the party. So I guess letting go of the experience (the ride ) is harder for NAZ fans than Naz himself.
Did'nt Trinidad do the exact same thing lose a fight win a fight then retire but the then he comes back wins a fight loses a fight retires again so i suppose in that sence you could say Naz is the same sort of boxer as Tito
Yup, I would have to agree with you. Funny thing is I just got back from San Juan and Oscar is more popular than Tito. And I also went there about 2 weeks after their fight and was surprised by how many Puerto Ricans liked ODH's boxing style and felt he won the fight.

Shame Naz stopped fighting he should have gone back to basics reflexes boxing skills and power not just power and he could have achieved even more

I think you may have thought you were in San Juan, but instead dreamt it. 'Cause although a lot of Puerto Ricans like Oscar, there's no way IN HELL that Oscar's more popular than Tito down here.

If Naz caught Marquez with the same right hand that Barerra did then Marquez wouldn't have gotten up. As impressive as JMM was the other night he still got tagged plenty and punched a lot and I think Naz hit harder and was faster then Barerra(doesn't make him a better fighter but thats just what I think his advantages are) And especially Barerra at this point in his career Hamed had better knee jerk reflexes then Barerra. I still think Barerra's a better fighter, but Naz does have those advantages and it would have been a rough night for mr marquez, especially if he was hit near 250 times.

It's nothing Hamed isn't already used to doing himself.

Think some of you have forgot how good Naz was and lets not forget he had been slipping abit before Barrera not boxing just wanting a fight and a ko

Stewart wasn't keen on Barrera after he saw him fight Salud he said himself they would have to rely on punch power & weird angles. JMM would have put on a clinic just the same as he was sticking with his counter punching style at that point and that's what won the fight.

Damn, I should sad click myself now
