    manny paquiao?

pac is ahead of oscar on the all time list? S*** pac has done well but beating a shot morales twice and barrera once is bollox
I think Pac won more crucial competitive fights than Oscar did.
Let's no get carried away now
Well, he was the chick magnet back in his prime. Oscar won against down the hill JCC, a runner against Trinindad, lost crucial fights with B-hop (massive liver shot), Mosley twice, PBF. Won against punk asses Vargas and Mayorga.

That's pretty much the highlights of his career.

I guess them wins over Whitaker, Ruelas, Leija, Carr, Hernandez don't mean much
nop 'coz he lost a couple of times to some of the best p4p fighters at the time and ov all time... and even they were razor thin losses (hopkins excluded) it tarnishes his record...

Since when do close losses and a lost to a much bigger man tarnish some ones record? Either way, Oscar should be ranked ahead of Pac no matter what. And if you disagree than you know a lot less about boxing than I taught you did
Its not even worth the rebuttal, thats just a case of someone holding on to Pac's bean bag for dear life... And an case you didnt know Pac has an 18in cak, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, more powerful than a locomotive and is bullet proof with xray eyes or some would suggest that

Will never forget Britkids post about how Ruiz had dominated the first 18 seconds in the bout against Tua. Still makes me chuckle when I think about it

These lists are so dam difficult to compile! One thing I would say is I don't see Ali/SRR not being top3,4 at the lowest. The guys they beat the best with Ray even moving up to beat the best in the next division plus the skills they had were insane. We didn't even get to see these guys at their absolute primes(for one reason or another) which it makes their achievements all the more amazing.

It will really be very very difficult to rank these guys. Suffice it to say that they belong to the all-time greats in boxing.

If Pacquiao is higher on the list how come De La Hoya vs Mayweather's PPV buys for that one fight doubled that of the whole Pacquiao vs Morales trilogy? I could take a guess and say it was something he did in the past like win titles in 6 different weight classes. Oscar has also faced much better opposition than Manny. To put Pacquiao and Calzaghe over De La Hoya is nuts. Calzaghe is moving in the right direction fighting Kessler but he needs to get on a boat, fly a plane do whatever to get to the states to fight better opposition. And Manny he's got plenty ways to go before he's even considered to be on the level of a De La Hoya.

What have PPV figures got to do with anything?
10 million tuned into watch Audley Harison- does that mean he's one of the Greats- NO.
35,000 turned-upto watch Joe Calzaghe vs Peter Manfredo- so does that mean that because there was a bigger attendance than Oscar vs Floyd that the Calzaghe fight was bigger - NO.
    ----------------
As for Oscar he lost all his biggest fights and the biggest wins on his record were either against smaller fighters or people past their best. The guy is just American Media Hype.

    1.) Floyd Mayweather Jr.

2.) Manny Pacquio (I think he's overrated, but Pac has yet to prove me right)

    3.) Juan Manuel Marquez

    4.) Jermain Taylor

    5.) Bernard Hopkins

    6.) Cory Spinks

7.) Zab Judah (would be ranked higher if he didn't lose so much )

    8.) Israel Vasquez

    9.) Rafael Marquez

    10.) Joe Calzaghe

    That's a perfect list
