Mayweather's figured out the best fighters of his generation, so I don't see why Cotto would be any different. He took the best Hatton had to offer in a long line of champions he's fought, and although I like Cotto, I can't see past Mayweather.
Point is Mayweather hasn't figured out the best fighters of his generation yet. Sure he has fought a few.
He even admitted to avoiding Shane Mosely. And only beating Delahoya with a SD.
He keeps saying he will retire and if he does he will be forever remembered as a nobody.
You also have to remeber Hatton is a light welter weight where as Cotto is a fully blown welter weight.
Just my opinion.
