Well Thornton, Cheecho, Marleau Nbakov and Michalek are all signed long term and not likely to go anywhere. Out of all them I would think Marleau to be the most likely to go and I'm pretty sure he has a no trade clause. But he had a great playoffs. So I think they come back with the same core line. Setoguchi has been one of the few bright spots these playoffs I think he is coming into his own. Same with Pavelski aside from Game 2 this series. Ehrhoff, Rivet and Murray have left much to be desired so I wouldn't mind them trying to sure up the defense. That's pretty much the hump right now. The Sharks are deadly when they aren't backed up in their own zone and that's where they have been most of these 10 games in the playoffs.

I don't really have anything against the Leafs or their fans, but I, like many other Canadians, very much resent having all things Toronto rammed down my throat on a consistant basis.
But that's what's so great about being Canadian... that and and the taxes!

Don't for get the incredibly sanctimonious politicians and the national inferiority complex. Oh, and the Queen.

It seems like with all their talent, for whatever reason, that they are very fragile mentally. From what I've seen they do very well when they have the lead, but once they fall behind they seem to collapse mentally. I think a big part of that is Wilson (who I do not like at all), but I think they could use a bit of a personal shake-up. Maybe they're all to comfortable, seeing one or two veteran players shipped out could be just what the team needs. It would instill a bit of desperation. They really remind me of the old Canucks (except the Sharks have much better goaltending) in that they have all the talent they need, but they are somehow lacking something.

Well then Marleau and Thornton would be the two that would produce that kind of shake up and Thornton has really been a ghost this series. But Thornton is just to integral a part of this team to give away.

I think some help on the defensive end is what they need because when you get to playing in the playoffs facing the same team day in and day out, you need at least someone who is going to be physical and wear a team down. And also to kill penalties because the Sharks penalty kill has been their achiles heel. Right now Grier is probably the most physical guy we have.

Sean Avery of the Rangers just either had a heart attack or a lacerated spleen this morning. There are conflicting news reports. One says he was unconscious, not breathing and in cardiac arrest. Though Avery's spokeman said it was just a lacerated spleen that sent him to the emergency room. He is 28 years old. It sounds serious either way...

I hope he is alright. I have watched him and the Rangers play the Pens for 3 games. There was a game last night and one of the announcers commented on how he didn't look like himself. It's strange to think how during the game he must have felt something was wrong with him but kept playing despite it.

Then hours later he is in the emergency room.

Good news is that all the reports I have seen say he is expected to make a full recovery.

I just heard on the radio that it was a lacerated spleen, but a New York paper was reporting that he was in cardiac arrest. Apparently he's expected to make a full recovery, but he's out for the rest of the playoffs.

OT in the SJ - Dallas series.
Dallas deserves to win this game, the officials screwed them out of at least 1 goal.

Well I'm relegated to the radio but sounds like San Jose has been the better team this series and in game 3 the Sharks got a goal whistled off because the referee lost sight of the puck so I really don't care about Dallas. Fuck Dallas

YEAH! Fuck yeah Hopefully the Sharks have found their gear, they are certainly good enough to beat Dallas a couple more times.

I picked the Sharks to go all the way at the beginning of the play-offs (I think), but Dallas just got robbed.

For these playoffs I haven't shaved and am growing the first beard in my life. Well it's less a beard and more a goatee and I shave the mustache part. But whatever.

My beard is the only reason I don't look like I'm 15.

I would love to have a big middle east beard or like a Baron Davis beard I imagine that is about as different of a life as one could possibly have. No matter what, a beard like that gets judged. I think that would be hilarious and would love to live one day and go buy beer or something. Get insulted when I get carded, I bet I can pull that off.

Hate to drag basketball into this but it's about the beard. Baron Davis has the best beard of all time because it is always the exact same length of the hair on his head. Always and it's not entirely apparent in this picture nor is it clear but whatever. But the best basketball beard ever has to be Ilgauskus, Big Z, can't spell his first name. Zildrounis, that's a guess.

Could you imagine having that every day? That would be amazing, I would look like a 50 year old science teacher.
