The fact that Mayweather never got to 144lb means he will drain himself and intends to put an impressive beating on JMM. He wins he earns more money against Cotto or Pac.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
All this just leaves a sour taste in your mouth! I wanted JMM to win anyway but now I'm praying he wins!
PBF said in 24/7 last week that he'd already made weight and was ready to fight right there and then. If that was the case then why would we he then lose 600k by not making weight at the weigh-in? As if he didn't already have every possible advantage anyway, what a pussy!!!
Just out a curiosity, does anyone know how heavy either Pac or Diaz weighed come fight night against Marquez?
Was wondering how much heavier Floyd will be compared to fighters Marquez has already been in the ring with...
....I think Pacquiao was 145lbs at fight night against Juan Manuel in their second fight... a bit too much gain before the fight. He rehydrated more than what is ideal (he got winded quite easily during the fight, specifically after the first)... but fortunately they learned from that experience and concluded that Pac has outgrown the Jr lightweight division, and so it was time to move on to other higher weight divisions.
* Pacquiao weighed even more (146 lbs) at fight night against Erik Morales in their third encounter!
...I don't know about Juan Diaz' weight at fight night against Marquez.
bemused really
How the hell can someone who trains year in year out for 147 not be able to drop 2 extra pounds to make weight??
No conspiracy theorys here, floyds purse is gonna be severly hit and we all know how much that`ll hurt him. Someone seriously dropped a bollock on this one!!

I was hoping this would be closer.. Marquez even if he does put on more weight is not going to look any more ripped that's for sure... Mayweather could weight 154 pounds fight night...
Even if Floyd has to pay a big sum for weight 2 pounds over the 144 agreed weight, it won't be as devestating to his wallet in the long run than a loss in his comeback fight.... If not struggling to get to 144 saved him a lot of pressure on his body, then it was well worth the price of having a much bigger advantage in the fight...
That's the point of having a catchweight though...! So the bigger stronger guy actually needs to get their weight down to a point where it's not that big of an advantage for the lighter smaller guy...
But those pics show Marquez has a big uphill battle from the start..
~ He thinks he's a Tornado,,,... F'ckn real Tornado is comin'...! ~Hidden Content
I guess I sum it up like this, what Floyd did was cold calculated strategy he seized an advantage and will pay the monetary cost with in the contract.
JMM will now be 600k richer to fight an opponent 2lbs heavier than expected not bad afterall
Also I couldnt help but feel good for Marquez, this whole promotion has allowed him to get the exposure and accolades he deserved all along. Instead of being known as a guy who gave Manny Pacquiao a run and a silent #2 PFP fighter, he has now got the spotlight and credit he deserves for being a great fighter/ warrior and one who has had an incredible career... Long over due Juan![]()

Habitual masturbation certainly has a plethora of benefits including exceptional prostate health, at least thats what I tell myself as I hack my carrot
moving right along..... This seems to be a very active Saturday on the boards as we all anxiously await tonights fight, I'm going to assume I wasnt the only one who had trouble falling asleep playing this fight through my head and pondering all outcomes and up early to discuss them here. I will say Floyd and his controversy ALWAYS adds extra spice to a fight which dosent make so cut and dry.
Im sooooo ANGRY!!!
witth regards to the two extra pounds that Floyd didn't loose:
It's not about Floyd being 2 pounds bigger. It's about Floyd not being 2 pounds weaker... Think about it.
Not meaning to contradict myself here but if Mayweather and Marquez had both agreed that Marquez was gonna come all the way up from Lightweight to face Mayweather only if at catchweight of 144 then what is Mayweather doing fighting at 146
What, you telling me he cant make 144? Bit late for that!
What if Cotto came in at 147 for his fight against Paquiao... Woah, that would be a travesty because o fcourse Cotto was made to put up his 147lb belt for a fight at 145 so ''oh no but that holds way more implications''... I fuckin hate this sport.
Thats it, i absolutely refuse to watch this bullshit.
Im watching UFC tonight. Laters.

For the DelaHoya vs Pac fight, coach Freddie Roach insisted on a $1.5M penalty for every pound over the welterweight limit of 147 at weigh-in. He stipulated a harsh deterrent to guard against this. He must've envisioned a similar scenario, which puts his fighter at a tremenduous disadvantage at fight night, if it indeed materialized.
PBF might have possibly made a wisened calculated risk, as JT has pointed out earlier, and a great move at that IMHO, for practically peanuts at $600K in comparison.
I mean the beauty of this whole thing is the fact it isint a forgone conclusion yet.. JMM beats him Floyd has egg on his face he'll never be able to wipe off, JMM has nothing to lose came up 2 weights fighting a prime unretired undefeated previous PFP#1 fighter in the world not to mention he made the fastest 600k in the world when Floyd stepped on the scale..
I say all is well in JMM land over 3mil plus PPV revenue all the accolades win or lose, courage an admiration to the hill. If there is anyone who could pull this off its JMM
