I'm not sure if age had anything to do it, I think he just got caught up in the action, but the age of referees and judges is an issue for the sport.

Well, I enjoyed the fight, but one time is quite enough for me. Later all.
The ref totally lost his marbles there..he chested Vargas off saying 'over'...and then took a break fighters stance and yelled "No knockdown" and then realized it was over and acted shocked![]()
Solid scrap!
Rematch would be nice. And then Bradley vs Provo 2!
Easily Bradley Vargas wasn't getting him outta there with ten seconds to go if provo couldn't get him with twelve, will be a pointless rematch
Because it was for a vacant title and when it happened coupled with Russells lack of taking ownership, I'd wager the Wbo orders an immediate rematch. The appearance of impropriety is at times good enough.
The ref fucked up, but by the time he waved it off there was about 6-7 seconds left on the clock. As durable as Bradley is and as shitty of a puncher/finisher Vargas is, does anybody really think he would have landed a knockout punch on Bradley in that time?
David Lemieux = Future MW Champ and P4P King
so who won?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Precisely old top. Vargas put on quite the performance acting like he'd just won by TKO and continuing to act that way despite being told different.
Russell screwed up but it's not THAT big of deal with 7 seconds left. I mean Bradley won a good action fight hands down.
No, Bradley was weathering the storm by killing the clock. He was hurt, but he has been there before. He was damaged but in control. Mind you, Bradley shouldn't have started coasting. It made him fall asleep somewhat. Bradley will win a rematch 11 rounds to 1 and I don't really want to see it. It wasn't a close fight and would be a waste of 6 months. If Vargas wants it then let him prove he deserves it by doing something at WW. That was no way near enough IMO.
It was a good fight for about 6 rounds because Bradley was trying to spark him, then it got a bit dull as Bradley accepted that he's not a puncher, even though he's been bashing tyres, and realised he best box, and then it had a Carry On ending.
I think Bradley would have survived but you never know.
Either way, he seems to get regularly hurt these days, a young gun will chin him sooner or later
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Could you be saved by the bell in the 12th? If you could then Bradley would have been saved anyways. In reality, the chances were so extremely small that Vargas would have actually KO'd Bradley. Bradley is tough plus he could have just stood up if he fell down. I can't imagine that Vargas could have landed a huge punch within a few more seconds that would have knocked him cold.
No need for a rematch.
