Are you trying to talk sense into these Pretty Boyz, again?!?

There are Mayweather fans, and there are Pretty Boyz. And those that argue against a Margarito fight are Pretty Boyaz!

Mayweather can aim to make over 30 million in one year, if he decides to fight Margarito now, then Oscar or whoever later. And you know Oscar loves to fight twice a year. Mayweather can fight three fights a year. For Pete's sake, Oldschool fighters fought within weeks after a rough fight! Three a year can easily be done. More money in Mayweather's pocket, it makes sense right? ... But Mayweather's smart. He knows a Margarito fight, is actually..... a FIGHT.

And who cares about risk/reward bullshyte. Mayweather can already buy more than three large houses on the best land on American Soil, or just about wherever he wants. Mayweather has more money, than anybody in this thread can even imagine, COMBINED! Not a person you should be WORRIED about for risk/reward. That millionare Mayweather gets his millions fighting the Sharmba's, Brussels, etc etc of the world.

When is Mayweather going to take a legitimate threat to his title/status? Looks like NEVER!!! Well, maybe after his hands heal..................... which will be NEVER!

Where's Sal, and his funny "Waaahhh, I hurt My Hands!!!" Thread Joke?

Did I say 30 million? I meant over 40 million. Zab was a couple million. Margarito was 10 million (if you include the ppv projected percentages). And the fight with Oscar, which is not written in stone, that will be about 22 million.

Add that up to about.... 37 million, give or take. Close to 40 million in one year?

When is Margarito going to actually beat someone other than the drunks from the tiajuanna bars?

Floyd being my current favorite fighter, I have to say I'm disappointed. I think Floyd would win an easy UD over Tony. But, him passing on this fight makes him look like a wuss. I understand the money, and the Oscar mega-fight, and I can see why he would pass. Even if Oscar loses to Mayorga, Tony will still be there. I get that. What ticks me is, Oscar has{IMO} has already promised Floyd something. And will probably start promoting Floyd. Oscar has the name, and the money, and Floyd wants to be in that posistion. If Oscar says this, Floyd will probably jump. I get the business part, and what is good for Floyd. But, IMO, Floyd needs to shut some critics up, by taking a fight against a guy he probably won't KO. A fighter who will come hungry. No disrespect to Zab, or the others. Alot of people{not just Floyd}, don't think Tony deserves a shot. Maybe, maybe not. And if Floyd beat Tony, alot of people would say "told you so". Get your money Floyd, and reach your dreams. I'm just a fan that would like to see you shut some mouths, and fight some stronger comp.

If Floyd keeps fighting people who can't hurt him, he will end up like Roy. Floyd can fight on the inside with anyone. Fighting tough fights keeps you in the game.

I'm still a fan, but regardless of the situation, I'm a little disappointed.
And f**k Oscar for creating this mess. Oscar is becoming like Don King thinking he owns boxing.

If Oscar loses then we will see if Mayweather is a ducker. If Oscar loses and Mayweather still says no to Tony, then it's official.

    Umm...

Aren't we forgetting about another welterweight that fights about a week after De La Hoya?

Seriously people, he isn't ducking Margarito! He isn't ducking anybody! He fought less then a month ago he is just keeping his options open. Seriously it's totally unreal to have expected him to sign that Margarito contract so prematurely. I know there are a lot of Margarito fans on this board and they want Floyd in the ring with their man but you can't seriously expect him to sign this so soon? I mean most boxing fans would rather see him fight Hatton anyways. Just have patience If this drags on after a Hatton fight (or if he lands a DLH fight) THEN I can see how he can be accused of ducking but please, not 3 weeks after one of the biggest fights of his career.

Agreed. Even though I'm a Floyd fan, I'm also a Tony fan. I strongly believe that Floyd would play it smart, and win a UD. I don't see Oscar losing, but maybe he'll get hurt enough to delay Oscar-Floyd so Floyd can fight Tony. Best wishes.

Agreed. Hatton would be a b*dass fight. But Team Hatton won't and are NOT offering anything near GUARANTEED 8 MILLION from Top Rank's Welterweight Monster Mexican "TJ Tornado" Margarito.

    Key Word: Guaranteed

DLH fight is only a weak promise. And Hatton's Promoters can't scrounge that kind of money yet.

If you ask anyone in the business. That is WAAAAAYYYY too generous a payday. Especially since Floyd fans know, or think they know, that this so called Tijuana Bar Fighter is so easy to beat.

Thats more than any heavyweight today makes. And this is supposed to be an "easy" fight for Floyd. EIGHT F*CKIN' MILLION DOLLARS!!! (Plus 2 million from projected PPV percentage)

I mean, c'mon! Even Floyd fans, who think Tony is nothing, have to say that is WAAAYYYY TOO GENEROUS.

Are you a boxing fan or are you his management? Because your not the one who's gonna benifit. Are YOU getting a percentage of the millions? Floyd has more money than your children's children will ever have. More money than you will make in your lifetime, or anybody here.

Your not supposed to be worried, financially, for this type of fighter.

A true boxing fans wants competitive fights. Not an Old Oscar de la Hoya fight. Oscar had his time in the Nineties. It's time we had the new crew get at each other.

Maybe money isn't everything Besides the fight would more then payoff in the long run seeing how it's a superfight that would make both of them worth more after the fight is done with. Either way PBF is in a no win situation. He has people wanting Tony, Hatton, Baldomir and even Judah. He can't go wrong with Hatton or Tony imo.

I take back my earlier argument, man. Sounds like we agree on this.

Mayweather Hatton would be awesome. Totally agreed.

Whoever wants Baldomir or Judah, should be banned from being a manager for boxing. Yes, that includes you Butcher!
