You pretty much took the words out of my mouth man. That is one of, if not the most emotional movie I have ever seen! I watched it with my friend one night and believe me when I say, she was totally overcome with sadness... tears flowing non stop! I wasn't far off either. It's amazing that an animation can touch you that much... but yeah, what an amazing movie! Really told the story of how war affected the kids in Japan at that time.
"September 21, 1945... that was the night I died."
After hearing that line at the start, you just knew you were in for something heart-wrenching.
Are you a fan of Studio Ghibli? I've seen a few of their movies and I have to say, they make awesome stuff! (Grave of the Firelflies, My neighbour Totoro, Laputa: Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away.)

I added two more movies to that list I was making on page 3 by the way.
CC for adding more,do you buy them or download them? I've won a few from Ebay already,I want Yakuaza one the most but it's expensive!I recieved the animated Ichi today,I'll watch it and let you know how it is and yeah, I watched it with my female friend too and she was sobbing hard!!I love Studio Gihbli,I have alot of their films!

    Colin and Jamie Foxx

I do not like their choices for Castillo and the ladies in the movie...they should have used some people from Blow (which is a great movie too)

    back!
I usually buy from Play.com or YesAsia.com. I have a lame connection, so I can't download them and Ireland is gone so expensive, that it is almost cheaper to buy the DVD online than to rent it from a shop, haha. A lot of the Asian movies aren't even available to rent anyway, only the more mainstream ones like 'Ringu', 'Audition', 'Oldboy', 'The Grudge' etc... I would never be able to get a movie like 'The Bird People in China' over here.
I known that 'Yakuza Papers' is expensive, but it is worth it trust me. It tells the Yakuza like it is: Become a higher ranking member by any means necessary! No dramatics, no loyalty, lots of backstabbing and bucketloads of violence.

'Audition' is where the girl keeps that dude in a bag and saws his foot off with piano wire right?

Blow is definately a kick ass movie. And the soundtrack is pretty damn good. You know what movie I like is Donnie Brasko (johnny depp's in it). I'm big into those Italian mob movies.
