This is an oldy...but it had a lot of hits...& I thought that it might be a goody to bring back up to the front of the page for discussion...
So once again...I asks ya's: Can Carlos Baldomir pull off the upset of the Year?

Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
i favour mayweather but like ive said before when two men get in the ring anything can happen there are no certainties in life and especially in boxing anything can happen so yes he can its possibleOriginally Posted by wacko3205

I agree...& ofcourse I back my guy...but like I said in the first page...if there is anyone out there that it'd be alright for Floyd to lose to...I couldn't think of a better more deserving guy...I mean...he's against all the odds & to date...he's pulled it out.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

As of now I have thisOriginally Posted by brazilianbomber
PBF = 1/6 = -600 = Factor 0.17
Baldomir = 11/2 = +550 = Factor 5.5
Anyone who does my sports book (or gambles in general) knows this is a very big spread, but it's not as big as
David Haye's or Amir Khan's last few outtings. Baldy has a punchers chance, although I can't really see him being able to do anything to PBF.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
All I can think to say is well, anything can happen in a fight.
Of course when you say that, kind of like when you say a guy's got a puncher's chance, it means that the other's guy much better and in all likelihood will win. Expecting a PBF UD but one in which he may not open up quite as much offensively as compared to some of his recent fights.
You know...I'm just not sure about the puncher's chance angle...or the heart/balls/endurance side of it for Baldo.Originally Posted by killersheep

I have been wrong before.![]()

Honestly if I was Baldozar, I would come out in the 4th or 5th round and hit PBF in the balls as hard as I could, that might slow him down just enough to get things more to my (Baldomerengue's) speed.

yeah and then Mayweather should Thai knee him to shrink his skullOriginally Posted by killersheep

Never against PBF. PBF would never take a fight that he has the slightest chance of losing.
I actually laughed out loud at work when I read that. CC for you my friend.Originally Posted by Majesty

Flipping heck, i may just put a few quid on Baldo, simply cause he's beaten some good opposition, seems to be very astute tactically, and has such amazing odds. I wouldn't fancy him, but I reckon he's better than many people believe, but then Floyd would need an amazing off day.Originally Posted by TheDukeof74
