Marquez is severly underratted IWO.

I was thoroughly impressed with him last 2 fights. The Pac fight was incredible...anyone that can go toe to toe after getting dropped 3 times get's my vote for KING SHIT!!!

I swear I'am just about sick and tired of Manny Steward.... His comments about fights and fighters are just down right STUPID! he fwocken annoys the shet! out of me.....


1st and fore most in the documentary 'The little Prince, the BIG fight' he makes the following statement and I quote:

"I am here training the greatest Featherweight of ALL time Prince Naseem Hamed where he will score an electrifying KO over Marco Antonio Barrera."

"I think hes the best Featherweight of ALL time, and history will show it maybe not now but later"

This is absurd I swear when I 1st heard this I was like 'What the fwock!" that is down right insane...

and tonight ALL the shet! he talked about JMM was just absurd, stating that Jaca was wining rounds and that Jaca was gaining control......


As of today for me FWOCK!! Manny Steward as a commentator...
Almost ruined the fight for me having to hear him throuhgout the fight!! Oh!! Lederman better clean up his scoring too, giving Jaca rds. please!!! JMM was wining ALL the rounds....

I can't believe the ref told Marquez he was winning the fight, when he came over to the corner to have his cut checked. Marquez probably didn't understand him, but isn't that illegal? No ref should be allowed to say anything about the scorecards. to a boxer, during a fight. Marquez could have quit and won the fight on points. This is outright cheating. I'm glad Marquez decided to fight on.

JMM does understand English actually but in the post interview he stated he did not hear that statement by the ref. he said he only heard what the doctor was asking him...

It's not illegal, but I'm sure the comission for whom he works for will have a loooong talk with him funny though Laurence is considered a vet. in the game and for him to do that must be a slip on his part... I mean hes been the ref. in a few of Erik Morales fights, he also ref. MAB vs. PAC so I just don't see this as him helping out JMM/cheating... IMO

Goes without saying. I'm a Marquez nut...really dig on him, more so than his brother...even though his brother cracks...Marquez has just recently come into his own with confidence in his power.

He'll go far.

It sounded like a great fight, we all know JMM's got character, but what kind of decision risks it when he's cut and is offered a win on the cards to go on and see if he can knock the guy out?

It was fantabulous. I was very impressed with his character tonight & the will to continue even on a sure thing.

Was it a deep cut, or one that'll heal pretty quickly?

Deep cut & cut in an odd spot. Pretty badly...not sure about the healing, though.

Damn good work boy, it was worth staying up after all!

Here's my issue with Manny...he's shit for a commentator...he's all up on the under dog's nuts & picking out all the flaws in Marquez's (whom I might add gave us one of the most exciting fights of the year!) game & how well Jaca is doing...& then once Marquez get's fired up & ripping Jaca apart...Manny back pedals out & calls it for Marquez.

Personally...it's all in the likings.

I think that JMM is the superior boxer...RM is the superior fighter...it all depends on whehter or not you like non stop ko's or tactical heady fighters.

Boxing should check out why the ref knew Marquez was ahead and emplored him to stop?

He (Laurence) didn't know JMM was ahead he assumed and commented, he WAS out of line for that and I'm sure he'll be talked to but to say he emplored JMM to stop is a bit over the top.

The hell with Harrison what does he think JMM is gonna be waiting around for him... Plus it's not like this whole 'interim' shet! that the WBA, IBF, WBC & WBO feeds off! is new to us the WBC never bothered matching up Arce and Pongsaklek and to be honest we are closer to seeing Vic-Arce then Arce-Pongsaklek even though that fight was suppose to have been made at least by the begining of '06 but look 6 fights later Arce decides to move up in weight to challenge in another weight class..... Which now that I think of this Arce is slated to fight out here in Los Angeles in Jan. 2007 it would be something else if they could get Arce vs. Tokuyama for the WBC Super Flyweight title heres hoping they do make this match up & that I can attend th fights...
