Ronald "Twinky" Wright....damn did anyone else see the countdown special on hbo? He was eating Crispy Cremes..lol..thats gotta be the worst diet for a boxer. Hopkins should use that as motivation, those crispy cremes looked good. Turn that jealous rage into a knockout win. If I was Hopkins I would have a box of crispy cremes delivered to Winky every day, give him a box after the weigh in.

Curious to know what odds english got with his guys & betting on Winky.

    I got B-Hop @ +115 & put a lil change on it.

Winky was -145 with my people.

I've changed my opinion of the outcome. If it goes to points, I feel the judges will try and give the decision to Jermain Taylor

Can you explain how those odds work? I've never really understood what the +113 and the -268 mean and how they relate to the stake you put down. The only ones we use here are the decimal and fractional odds systems, or at least the only ones I've seen used.

    +115 (my post) or ur post +113 would mean u bet $100 to win $115 (+115) mine / $113 (+113) yours.

The (+) is the underdog on the line. $100 wager wins whatever is in front of the (+).

    - 145 in my case / -268 in urs means that u (bet $145 to win $100) mine. Or bet $268 to win $100.

The (-) is the favorite. U need to wager whatever is in front of the (-) to win $100.

Much appreciated, I'm now down with the American boxing odds system. CC bro.

To translate into traditional odds you can use this equation

for + American odds do this
    American odds/100
so if you have +200 = 200/100 reduced to 2/1

for - American odds you just flip it over and drop the negative.
    100/American odds
so if you have -200 = 100/200 reduced to 1/2

Has anybody seen the weigh in? I haven't heard anything on it yet.

    Wait... nevermind.

"Bernard Hopkins and Winky Wright both weighed in at 170 for Saturday night's light heavyweight showdown at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. After the weigh-in, Hopkins put his hand in Wright's face and shoved him backward. Winky responded with a push and the fighters were quickly separated....more to come."

It's such a pick'em fight I can't wait. On recent form you'd have to go with Winky, plus the age is a big handicap for Hopkins.

BUT Hopkins is 9-0 against southpaws and I think most significantly his most career defining fights have been against Hall of Fame fighters moving up. He owned Trinidad, KO'd Oscar and now had moved up and manages to lure the smaller Winky up to fight him.

I really think the size may be significant and that Hop puts on a dominant display.

So my head says Wright, but my heart is thinking this is going to be 3-0 for Hop in defining fights and that he wins in sensational style.

    Come on B Hop!

Interesting stat . It will be 10-0 after tonight .

Both are great but I think Hopkins is that bit better . Infact the only fighter i'd put above him is a prime Roy Jones jnr .

However it got me thinking that if B- Hop wins tonight , he has a pretty impressive record and may overtake Jones in terms of legacy .

I think there will be huge suprisement to how eager and dominant Bernard will be..

If there was ever a guy that could crack the safe that is winky ..Its bernard.. I seriously think he will beat winky up tonight

I think that winky will find 173 a very large weight but i really am finding it hard to find an outcome for the match up. I hope hopkins can win but its too hard to call.ive voted bhop decision i just think he can get the best of winky and use the extra weight to his advantage because he has had the experience against tarver, really its a tough one though.

i also have hopkins +115 and Wright -145 seems to be the going line, doubt it will change much. im putting my money on hopkins
