Your going to actually sit there JT and say thats how a world champion should act?....Boxing has a bad enough image and then to go around acting like a fool makes things worse...Do you see guys like Calzaghe acting like that? Klitschko, Barrera, Pacquiao, Jones, Hopkins....I can name every worth while fighter of the last decade.....When you reach that status you represent the sport and people of the sport....Not like he has to be a role model for kids but fact is he isn't even really like this....Floyd Mayweather is not a gangster, he is not street, if he was I could forgive it and chaulk it up as it just being himself and leave it at that.....

1st of all Dan you dont know me so chill. What are my true colors anyway? because I enjoy Floyd the boxer and could give a crap what he does out of it? Floyd is as harmless as most fighters out there who have bona fied lawbreaking pasts. Did he duck a draft? Did he cheat on 4 of his wives? Is he a racist to his own people? Is he a convicted felon? A child molester or pedophile?
I mean relax, Dan really relax. this fight is not your life, it wont put food on your table or pay your bills or support your family. At the end of the day if Floyd loses than I'll say he could have lost to a nicer fella, would I be dissapointed if Floyd loses, sure I would but I will go home to my Fiancee and the kids have dinner and live my life and return to work on Monday.. Life goes on. But to get that psycho about the fight and its not even your life on the line, its just ludacris.
You think Ricky gives a shiit about you at the end of the day, you think he cares if you lose that promotion at work to some fuktard who you hate? you think he is rooting for you when you send in your car payment or the credit card company wants their payment. And just for the record I agree with Bilbos assesment of Floyd in and out of the ring, but I do believe Hatton is as genuine as he portrays just seems to have a great upbringing and family structure I just forgot to trim down his post to exclude that section.But remember just cause I think Ricky is a nice chap dosent mean I give him a snowballs chance in hell against Mayweather

Have to say though Daxx does tend to display rather a confusing mixture of humour and rage in his posts. One minute he's all lighthearted and good natured the next he's unloading a tirade of vitriolic hatred and abuse on someone who disagrees with him.
Personally I think you're both nuts. :P
Yoitsdan may think I'm the fruit loop, and I am indeed a bit fruity but at least I'm stable and consistent.

I usually don't care how people act outside the ring, just how they fight, I mean I was a huge James Toney fan.
Floyd's act just bores me though, at least Toney and Ali were funny in a way, well late in his career Toney kind of ceased to be funny, didn't stop me from being a fan though. Floyd's just completely humorless, boring, just tries too hard.
But in the end to me its how you fight that matters to me and I just can't say I get outraged by anything Floyd does outside the ring, just get bored really.

Not just boxing though JT like you said it is all sports....IMO these guys have to take a certain amount of resposibility for their behavior.....So I don't need to wisen up...I am not a pilgrim or some amish guy that is appaled at the thought of anyone even using foul language.....Like I said if he was actually the way he tries to portray himself at times then it just be an "Oh well thats how he is"...but don't be a fake.....
If the image effected Mayweather solely then that would be one thing but it reflects on the sport as a whole...it sets guys like the ones I mentioned before back...guys that do their best to reflecty a good image on the sport they partake in.....It is behavior that makes mainstream public think all boxers are either illiterate, ex-cons, thugs etc......

But i agree with some of the posts here, Boxing isn't popularity contest i don't like some of the things Mayweather does outside the ring. But really and truthfully i couldn't careless because im a fan of Mayweather for his amazing skills in the ring.

I agree, he p4p #1 because of his skills. Yes you could say he has bragging rights, but most down to earth people would chose not to use them.Apples and oranges. He's p4p simply for what he's done in the ring. Being a great guy doesn't make you a great fighter. New Jersey loves Arturo Gatti, but his fan support couldn't get him within two and a half country miles of pound for pound.
Whatever happened to just being silly? So the guy is on video doing something stupid. Can any of us claim exemption from this? The only difference is he's famous and therefore much more attention is paid to him. Glad to see none of you live in glass houses...
