Ok here we go, fingers crossed that Stevie Forbes can somehow upset the apple cart, cause an astonishing victory, send Oscar into retirement and force Floyd to fight a real opponent in September.

    Let's see...........

Although with Cotto and Tony fighting next if Oscar does lose this Floyd would probably just go straight for another fight with Hatton

Not sure what to root for now?

Most of all it's Lazcano who needs to win!

The Almighty Oscar has blessed his humble servants of the world by walking among mere humans tonight.

It is rare the King leaves his throne and we all must give a moment of silence, to show our worship to Oscar, the King of all that breathes.

    Round 1
Definitely an electric atmostphere if nothing else. They meet at the center of the ring and the size advantage is immediately apparent. De La Hoya throws a few single jabs, Forbes returns with jabs of his own. Oscar throws a wide hook to the body of Forbes and Forbes scores a couple inside the long punch of Oscar. Not a bad start for Forbes. Oscar going to the body early, jabbing a little bit then usually going straight downstairs. Still, Forbes might have the faster hands here and is punching in combinations nicely. A stiff jab from De La Hoya catches Forbes coming inside and moves him backwards. Oscar throwing very loud punches to the body, really trying to drive home his power. De La Hoya lands a couple right hands late in the round but Forbes comes back with a right hand and left hook of his own that back Oscar up.

I actually think Forbes won that first round.

Which means the Judges have it a 10-3 for Oscar

Nice work by Stevie..Thats what he needs to do is get in and out all night quick as possible...IMO by the 7th DLH will be too tired to try and run and chase him...Fast shots in and out he will make a good showing of himself....

Funny thig is if this is even a somewhat close fight DLH win or not will be embaressed
