    Im the twat?
Holmes did a 15 roumd exhibition in front of King to prove he was still fit.
LOL. Only a twat would produce a statement like that ^ to defend this shit!

Try making your posts more fuckin legible! Hieroglyphs are easier to decipher..

Was Holmes circa tyson (in total) in 5 years of retirement? In the worst shape of his career? Simple yes or no? No on cares about exhibitions!

Now be sure to taste your words before u spit them out cupcake and have fun at B&Q (Drop a CV off while your there!).

    Tyson splattered Holmes in 88
Massive underdog Danny williams splattered tyson in 04 Oh wait 'The favourite' Tyson was done! LOL. Holmes fight was a joke. Larry was a patsy for the tyson bandwaggon and u have a tiny penis. End of.

You just made yourself even more of a stupid twat!

Have you read on some fan site this info? Like the photo that reckons its from 87?

Holmes fought Tyson 21 months after fighting Spinks. Mayweather was out for longer before he fought Marquez Not 5 fucking years!

Oh yeah but also you reckon he only trained for 4 weeks... When the video I put up proves he was in training for over 3 months! So Holmes wasnt even retired a year and a half before he started training to fight Mike

Holmes went on to beat Ray Mercer after another couple of years out (he needed that after the hammering he took from Mike) and push McCall all the way, the same McCall who sparked Lewis.

Not Mercer, Holyfield or McCall could ever dream of matching what Tyson did to the younger Holmes.

Ross is right this is the same Holmes who out boxed the then undefeated Ray Mercer after his devastating loss to Tyson, lost to a prime Holyfield and McCall on points. Not bad for a patsy.

I'm not the one comparing May\Marquez to Tyson/Holmes! Holmes himself now admit's he should not have taken the fight because he was in his worst shape ever and rate's it as his worst ever performance!!

As for your 'Twat' comment, Free speech gives us all the right to speak our minds, even the assholes i suppose.

Holmes fought Tyson 21 months after fighting Spinks. Mayweather was out for longer before he fought Marquez Not 5 fucking years!
-From 86-91 holmes was inactive other than the tyson fight! In fact he hadn't won a fight since 85, a very dubious decision over carl williams followed by 2 defeats to former LHW spinks a few months later. Holmes had officially retired and was approaching 39. No amount of YT videos or talk of exhibiton fights will make your argument even remotely credible.

No one rates the holmes win. Why u talk of WW mayweather is beyond me! Mayweather was still undefeated and Marquez had never fought above lightweight LOL. (Mayweather was still considered P4P No.1) Plus he has not been inactive for another 3 years post marquez... Stop comparing Mayweather v Marquez to Tyson v Holmes! Pathetic that u have even tried.

Oh yeah but also you reckon he only trained for 4 weeks... When the video I put up proves he was in training for over 3 months! So Holmes wasnt even retired a year and a half before he started training to fight Mike
Stop making out holmes was smashing up the gym, u only need to look at him to see the shape he was in! U saw the image i gave u, Don't pretend u didn't! Holmes looked horrible! That vid was just larry pontifcating... He even admits now that he wasn't prepared, It's well documented.
Holmes went on to beat Ray Mercer after another couple of years out (he needed that after the hammering he took from Mike) and push McCall all the way, the same McCall who sparked Lewis.
Respect for the mercer win but mercer had only been pro for 3 years and went onto lose to jesse ferguson (Arguably twice!) So he was beateable. Larry had strung together 6 wins before mercer and had shooken off the ringrust. Tyson himself reckon's he would not have beaten a prime holmes!

Mercer, Holyfield or McCall could ever dream of matching what Tyson did to the younger Holmes.
That is just such a pathetic comment. Holyfield Didn't need to dream about holmes, he handled tyson twice! Let alone handily outboxed holmes...
    '
The 'YOUNGER' holmes ROFL! None of them fought a 'YOUNGER' holmes, Difference is the others had other more relevant wins, Tyson has been dining out off that win for years! They just got on with the job of outboxing holmes and moved on, regardless of wether they stopped him or not! None of those guys really rates having a 40's holmes on there resumes except tyson fans! Truly awful poster....

This place tickle's me.....It's like a little clique inpenetrable to outsiders! LOL. Any news from B&Q yet? Thought not

Holmes wanted the fight because he was jealous that Tyson was getting all the plaudits when Holmes hadnt.

You may say that Holmes was out of shape, or rather, looked out of shape (as he always did) but against Holyfield and McCall he was even heavier but wan rounds against them and 4 years after Mike levelled him. When Holmes went down against Tyson it was like watching an old redwood being felled

So, an older, fatter, more retired version was able to push Holyfield, McCall and beat Mercer but never ever stood any kind of chance of even reaching the half way point with Tyson, let alone, win a round.

Holmes was used as an opponent for Mike because other than Spinks, there really were no other available, viable opponents. He had wiped the division clean.

As for your comment about Mercer losing to the older, fatter more retired version than Tyson fought because hed only been a pro for 3 years. Mike hadnt even been pro for 3 years

U can try and push this issue all u want but the fact of the matter is, the tyson fight was the only fight holmes had fought in a 5 year period! Prior to his retirement he had arguably lost 3 in a row! Yes he came back and defeated a green mercer year's later but many journeymen throughout history have the odd win over a fighter they were supposed to lose to! Holmes was a very crafty old veteran that's all....

And don't think for one minute the mercer fight was a walkover. Scores were: 117-112 | 117-111 | 115-113! And the fact remain's he lost to Holy and Mcall. Other than mercer he was just a canny old veteran that could give anyone an awkward night. He held his own with tyson too up until the stoppage. He looked in terrible shape just admit it!

Let's not pretend that just because tyson defeated Holmes easier than other's may have that that automatically means tyson would have beaten Mercer, Mcall etc. Douglas or Holyfield anyone? (I do believe mcall fought 100's of round's with tyson in sparring and was never dropped!)

You are wonderful, Holmes held his own just as Audley held his own against Price before the knock out. Tyson was playing with him for all the fooling around Holmes did in the 4th round.

Holmes was out 18 months before he started training for Tyson.

The reason he took time off again was because he knew while Mike was about he stood no chance what so ever of getting anywhere.

Its no coincidence his comeback started AFTER Mike had lost to Douglas. Holmes looked at the division amd there was no one he feared. He knew he wouldnt have to fight Mike to get a title but he looked at the likes of Mercer, McCall, Foreman and Holyfield and thought to himself "not one of these has the skills that Mike had and ill beat them easy, even if I come in heavier and older than when I fought that amazing Mike Tyson"

You said Holmes "held his own" against Tyson, that's what made me laugh, Tyson was playing with him you muppet, he was in perfect control and never in any trouble.
