Canada didn't let them run and gun and move the puck like all the other teams did. It's always good whipping the States, sometimes the Yanks get the crazy notion that they're better than Canada at hockey and they need to be humbled HAHAHA

Canada vs Sweden for gold just like I said! I hope I'm wrong but I think the Swedes are gonna win.

The US was just not physical enough. That's how we wore down the other teams. Puck control and being physical.

    Crosby is a bitch

Not easy to do against a fast, skilled team who's pushing the pace. I thought they played a good game. Wasn't a blowout by any stretch.

The US has a fast skilled team too...our shots were just flying right into your skates and knee pads. We didn't control the puck well and we didn't hit enough.

We needed BIG Scott Stevens type hits and we didn't get them from our guys.

Better luck in 4 years... bwahahah!

Phil Kessel was great. I remember back when the Leafs traded their 1st round pick to Boston for Kessel, EVERYONE shit on Brian Burke for it. They said it was a retarded trade, especially when Toronto's 1st rounder turned into the 2nd overall pick.

Seguin's developing into a hell of a player in Dallas, but you can't put a price on the goal scoring ability and intensity that Kessel brings. Which pains me to say because I hate the Leafs.

Just turning it on now, totally forgot it was today (understandable, because who cares about two teams competing for 3rd place lol)

WOW, what a beating. So happy for Selanne!

The Americans really shit the bed. Counting the Canada and 3rd period of the Czech game, USA went 138 straight minutes of play without scoring a goal, in which time they were outscored 7-0.

What if Rask had been able to play vs Sweden? It could have very well been Finland/Canada final.

I am no expert but surely old quicky should have saved the 1st goal.. Good work from 43 year old selanne though another bronze medal even though finland had a few key players out injured and he finishes with 4 goals and 6 points(a point per game).. Wouldn't mind if the ducks won the cup too, what a way that would be for him to retire from the sport !

Humbling loss, Kane must have felt awful. The wheels did come off quickly. I will say I'm happy for Tuomo Ruutu and Teemu Selane. Tuomo plays for the Canes and Teemu has been class for forever

For sure, he should have had that one. He was really sold on Teemu making the pass (like people usually do in that position on the backhand) and Teemu caught him off guard. Weak goal that really took the air out of the sails early.

Backstrom not playing in the GOLD MEDAL GAME because he has a headache. Can you imagine the flack a Canadian or American player would get if they ducked out of a GOLD MEDAL GAME because of a headache? If Crosby did it he would be called a faggot for the rest of his career. You gotta man up!
