I can't think of anything unkind to say about Chad Dawson...

Buddy McGirt threatening to stop the fight was some sort of inspirational bluff I hope. Seemed many of Dawson's shots were missing or glancing. He won the fight...

I prefer Adamek.

yea that was a trip, but adamek wasn't being as aggressive as with briggs dawson is making him pay for that.

dawson is luck though he held on to the win, adamek should of been aggressive from the get go, he would of knock out dawson.

ooh well +1 for us yanks hahaha, too bad adamek perform bad maybe he not so good against the yanks, haha it's always been like that.

I want to re-state meself here...

Dawson is good...but not a great...all this post fight ring talk of fighting the likes of Johnson, Jones, Tarver, Hopkins, & whoever else they were naming...it's unwarranted, IWO.

Dawson showed out...but he also showed weaknesses...one of those being that he doesn't fight with his mind but more his head. He made some critical errors in his defense & stuck his neck out there when he thought he had it in the bag...you just don't do that.

Another weakness? Maybe his chin. Even after the knockdown there were two or three times that I was seriously SERIOUSLY worried that an Adamek right was going to drop him. He did recover though...& that speaks bounds.

He's the champ now...so fight a lesser bout & then go for one of the other title holders...but not one of the oldies...because they are still a bit too oldies but goodies for someone as green as Dawson.

Again...impressed with him tonight...but he needs to fight smart for the duration.

I admit it was me who made a comparision to Roy Jones. I only meant the way he came forward with ceetain punches reminded me style wise of Roy Jones. Altho they are both Chinny, Dawson is not the 2nd coming of Roy Jones. He's quite good but Adamek just stood off him so that allowed dawson enough time to attack. Credit to Dawson tho he done well tonight.

I think Wackos just pissed off that his boy (Felix Sturm) who at one point was on the same boat as Dawson has now fallen off and is scraping for fights else where.
While BCD is out here on the spotlight.....

It's OK Wacko Sturm will work through it I'm sure.... (But I wouldn't hold my breath)

Honestly...I don't know that Sturm's gonna make a comeback...maybe.

He looked really good inside that ring, the ONLY bad round he had was round 10 where he got dropped......

He virtually pitched a shut out....

When Wacko says there was a point where he felt Adamek was gonna finish Dawson was because he ain't to Dawson fan I as fan knew Dawson could get up and finish the fight hes done it before....

What I didn't like was that he needed to be more aggressive when he had Adamek going back and covering up he could have and should have finished him off would he have been more aggressive when he had Adamek hurt....

Not a bad night at all, just that people that havent seen much of him are putting tooo much emphasis on the knockdown....

They forget to mention that Adamek was probably the best Light. Heavy in the div. right next to Hopkins & Tarver..... Hard puncher and a tough rugged fighter I said this prior to the fight.....

What kind of ref rules it a knockout on a knee injury.

That shit should change Sunday morn.

I think it'll stay ruled as a TKO because Diaz DID NOT step on Chavez foot or visa versa. It's the same as McCline and Valuev, McCline got injured it was ruled a TKO and the 3rd round wasn't even over....

An example of it having a chance of being over turned would be the Kirk Johnson and Javier Mora fight where Kirk injured his knee but since he injured it by accidently stepping on Moras foot it was ruled a No Contest....

See it wasn't over confidence it was just Adamek landing a very good punch..... It's not like Daawson was doing the Ali shuffle or showboating.... He got caught with a good punch and thats that IMO it had nothing to do with him being over confidence thats not his style if anything I think he lacked a bit of confidence cause he had Adamek hurt would he have had more confidence he would have been more aggressive....

This is coming from someone whos been watching him since his fight against Wilson in '04.....

I hear Wacko on Chad looking a little less impressive in hindsight post-round 10, but given that he's only 24 years old, has decent power, and better handspeed than anyone in the division since Roy got shot--I think he could be big in a couple of years. Seriously, this guy's handspeed is sick for a LHW. I wouldn't mind seeing him against Woods now. But I wouldn't want to put him in B-Hop or Tarver now.

congrats to bad chad dawson! personally i thought adamek was gonna take it into a bloody war, but it seems he could not find his rhythim must have been his awarkness to chad's sothpaw and speed. chads gotta be one of the worst pre and post interviewers EVER! not to take away from chad but does he have like a speech impediment or something? or stuterring problem? i know jermain taylor used to have one but over came it?
