Interesting how the poll is reflective of the odds (2 to 1 in favor of Cotto) with regards to who will win by TKO.

It fukin looks like I will have to work till 11 at night on Saturday and will miss seein the showdown live. So that sucks.
Anyway, not that anyone gives a damn, but I like both fighters, and am picking Zab Judah to win. I think his back is against the wall and he's comin into this one with something to prove. He'll be too quick and powrful for Cotto and stop him before 8 rounds are up. Maybe...

Watching some old matches last night of Judah & Cotto to get my head into it...I came up with this.

IWO, Cotto is, while still unproven, on par with the Kostya that stopped Judah all those years ago.

If Cotto can remain focused then he could take Judah down because Judah aint the Judah of days gone by.

The only thing is...if Judah comes in focused...like he was against Floyd & keeps his head on straight...he's gonna be awfully slick & fast for someone of Cotto's pace...

In conclusion...apparently...after watching those tapes...I'm still at the point of which I started...I have no clue who the fwock to pick. :P

Even if he was focused against Mayweather and he wasn't all those other fights, he still shut down when he did his little ninja dance. I think that's the thing, I am willing to bet that the instant Cotto hurts Judah, Judah fails to win another round. Personally, I think it will come early.

Cotto will win this fight. Judah will have trained harder than he ever has, will have prepared better than ever but once he feels Miguel's power, once he realises the size of the task at hand,he will crumble. He has crumbled v far lighter hitting opponents and I think the same will happen here. O

f course he will have his moments, someone as naturally gifted as Zab always will but I don't believe Zab has the capabilities to outbox Cotto. Not for the whole fight. When has Zab outboxed anyone for a whole fight in one of his major fights?

I thought a Cotto win in the 6th..... but as it gets closer..... I'm actually leaning to decision.
    Judah can run afterall .

Me and you have basically agreed on the fight since day 1. Haven't found a post on the topic I disagree with. Not only has Zab not outboxed anyone of note for a full fight since he MAYBE did it to Corley, but he hasn't stopped anyone of note either. He's looked good early, but that's about it. I really don't expect the cards to be anything close then 116-112. I think Cotto is going to dominate. There is a possibility he could take Judah's legs away, but I agree with Gyrokai, Judah knows how to run.

I agree with this. But I picked Judah UD after 12. Not the most rational pick. But somehow I think Zab is gonna rise above himself and deserve all that talent for once. Doubtful, of course, which is why I didn't bet a whole lot on it.

I can't argue with that. In the Sportsbook here on the forums Judah is a 3-1 underdog. That's very good money for someone with the explosiveness from Judah.

    Thought I'd post this....

    Fightnews Poll
Who will win the June 9 welterweight title clash between Miguel Cotto and Zab Judah?

    Cotto by KO 58%
    Cotto by decision 13%
    Judah by KO 20%
    Judah decision 9%

Yeah I picked Cotto by KO and to be honest would be shocked if it was anything other than that, maybe a lopsided UD for Cotto but I just don't see how Judah wins this one.

When Tyron Mullet knocked him down, Zab came back to KO his ass. Why do you think he'll just shut down the first time he gets hurt against Cotto?

Because he shut down the first time he got hurt against Baldomir. And when Floyd hurt him, he never was aggressive nor did he win a round afterwards.

Those are his last two fights, and neither of them were comparable to Miguel Cotto in terms of power.

I didn't think Floyd Mayweather ever hurt Judah in that fight, mighta stunned him but never had him hurt. The tempo of the fight just shifted to Floyd and Zab could never get it back, till he hit him in the nuts and back of the head. Stop actin like Cotto is some unstoppable powerhouse, I like the guy myself and he's a great body puncher, but was he rockin Urkal all over the place? No. Didn't Lovemore Ndou go the distance with him in a close fight? Yes. How about Paulie fukin Malinaggi? Unfortunately yes, he did. So its not like he's just gonna erase Zab Judah, least not IMO.
