Hopkins the legend? Gimme a break. He made his career on wins over guys that began their careers way below his weight and lost to the 2 good mw's he fought.

    Hopkins is delirious!

Joe should be #1 p4p. That guy can fight!!!
The year is not quite over yet, but I think we just found the stupidest post of the year
i dont know about that .... I'm sure if we went back and looked at any of your predictions and P4P list like the famous casamayor at what 3 or 4... your comments are the most biased, unfactual load of sh!t on here and everyone on here knows it....

dont throw stones if you live in a glass house....

hopkins beat tito a welterweight, DLH a welterweight, winky a 154..
he fought middleweight jermain taylor and middleweight RJJ and for some reason those fights went a little different....

Joe would slap B-hop from one side of the ring to another...
He called Calzaghe p4p #1. If you agree with him than your just as stupid as he is. Either that or your a massive Calzaghe groupie.
Don't be mad at him. He's right , your predictions suck, your p4p list sucks, and you rarely have anything interesting to say. You think you sound like you know what you're talking about when you go on those ridiculous rages of yours? You're a lame internet thug if I ever saw one.

Calzhage should definitely be rated higher than floyd. It not Joes fault he lives across the pond and has to deal with bias dudes like you. At this point, Cotto has a better resume at welter thatn floyd does. I don't want to hear that he beat the linear champ cause Baldo was far from great. floyd only fights vulnerable guys.

Yeah it's not that hard to do. He soon jumps into his hole (or someone elses) once you have a go back.

Agreed. That is hypocritical. You say give B-Hop credit, yet by calling Calzaghe "cowardzaghe" your not giving Joe any credit. He beat Kessler at 35.

Say what you will about Warren and his tactics
    Youd be right
Think what you will about the last fight, and Kessler's injury
    Youd probably be right
But Joe went in there not knowing any of that, leave off with that stuff

Dont give me shit about Joe copping more criticism than most, this whole topic has Hopkins being knocked a tonne more than Joe. Here he is 44 years old, maybe the best legacy in boxing yet he is being called scared. Joes fans are just as quick if not quicker to jump on his opponents than Joe's detractors jump on him. U cannot deny that.
    That's a tad naive.

Here's some quotes from your heroes -

"Fighters want to fight for titles, but not as much as we want to fight for MONEY." Roy Jones jr

"I'm glad that I have three belts because that means I have three mandatories a year and I can make $2 million or $3 million dollars every time I step in the ring with Donald Duck. I can deal with that." Bernard Hopkins

Tell me - if boxing is about the best fighting the best then why haven't you got a problem with these guys - Hopkins and Jones - POINT-BLANK REFUSING to fight outside their backyard?

If they were really interested in the hardest challenges and making the best possible fights they'd be prepared to step outside THEIR comfort zone, right?

Jones didn't have to go outside the USA all the best fighters were in USA unless you count Dariusz Michalczewski but he only wanted to fight Jones in Germany.

    Wrong,wrong and wrong
Total and complete lack of understanding of the state
Unless Roy Jones allways fought in Miami, and Hopkins allways fought at the Spectrum in Philly, they ARE out of their back yard
We've been through this before,England is roughly the size of PA
PA isnt a large state by US standards
There is no national unity behind fighters here,Las Vegas is as close to the moon as it is to Philly if your fighting there

This whole argument just pisses me off. Hopkins has backed out of fights with Joe before. Warren has looked the other way and sent Joe on some shitty fights. What I find even more alarming is that we're arguing about a fight that at this stage of their careers I can't even consider big. I give Joe all the credit in the world for fighting Kessler but I'd much prefer him to take on another exciting fight than fight Hopkins. As a fan of boxing, I want to watch a fight that is good for the fans. This fight will be shit.

    Right.

But IF boxing isn't about MONEY and only the best fighting the best WHY wasn't Roy prepared to fight Michalczewski in Germany?

Michalczewski was the fight the fans wanted, right? He was the BEST possible opponent for Roy. Why didn't Roy say "hey, I'm gonna go whoop that boy in his backyard, that'll show everyone I aint scared to fight anyman anywhere"?

Where did Reid vs Ottke take place ?? Michael Sprott vs Vladimir Virchis where did that take place ?? Germany is well known to have the most biased scoring in boxing Jones would have to kill Dariusz Michalczewski to win a decision.

And thats exactly what is wrong with boxing and fighters like Joe. Money is more important than legacy. As if Joe needs the money. He has enough to support himself and 50 other families. Fine Joe dont go to the US, but then dont complain twenty years down the track when ppl are criticising you for not fighting the best. Cant have it both ways. Dont give me S*** about Joe copping more criticism than most, this whole topic has Hopkins being knocked a tonne more than Joe.

    Wrong,wrong and wrong
Total and complete lack of understanding of the state
Unless Roy Jones allways fought in Miami, and Hopkins allways fought at the Spectrum in Philly, they ARE out of their back yard
We've been through this before,England is roughly the size of PA
PA isnt a large state by US standards
There is no national unity behind fighters here,Las Vegas is as close to the moon as it is to Philly if your fighting there
    OK just answer me this?

    Is Philly in AMERICA?
    Is Miami in AMERICA?
    Is Las Vegas in AMERICA?
    Is New York in AMERICA?
    Is Europe in AMERICA?
    Only roughly
You Brits dont get it do you
Philly HATES New York with a livid passion usually reserved for holy wars.
They could give two craps about Wales, but they HATE New York
    Miami is Cuba North
    Its a big country
