    Round 11:

Tarver still pawing away with the jab. Body shot from Woods, and a great right hook from Woods. Jab and short hook from Tarver. Body shot from Tarver. Good straight left from Tarver, but Woods digs in a right as Tarver ducks. Tarver with a jab, and a big left hand from Tarver. Woods taking a left uppercut, and a hook. Woods coming back with a right hook, and a big right again. He's charging forwards, with a body shot, and a right hook and Tarver ties it up. Tarver jabbing away again. Good right hand from Tarver.Rgith to the body by Woods.

Good flurry from Woods, but he's tired badly in the second half.

As disappointed as I am for Clinton it's always nice when fat fuck Bunce gets it completely wrong.

    Round 12:

Woods afrer a KO. Tarver jabs and a big left hook. Body shots from Tarver. Tarver teeing off now, good jab and another left. Straight left on the chin of Woods. Good jab and a left hook. Woods tries a body shot. Woods just wants the end now. Jab and a hook from Tarver. Right hook from Tarver, as Clinton covers up. Body shot from Woods, but another left hook lands. Left hook from Woods, but no bingo punch coming. Left hook and Woods stumbles back. Tarver to the body. Woods with a hook then clinches. Body shot from Woods, and they clinch again. Woods dejected. Tarver delighted.

117-112, on my British favoured (apparently) card. Woods was heading for a KO in the last if it went on much longer.

The scores on the doors are as follows:

UD 116-112, 117-111, 119-109 all for Antonio Tarver. And it was the British judge who gave the biggest margin.

A bit disappointed with Clinton on that performance where was the big work rate and volume of punches?

Sad to hear but sounds like he was outclassed. He won't get his Calzaghe fight now. This has been a crap start to the year for brits in big fights. Doesn't bode well for Joe. Here's hoping he can turn the tide.

I think both Woods and Hatton have got exposed as the rather limited fighters they are in recent months.

Tarver's post fight speech was hilarious, he makes me chuckle at least.

Woods sounded like Peter Manfredo, with his 'thankyou for having me' losers speech. Very nice guy I've got nothing but respect for him but he showed like he said that he was just a skinny boy from Sheffield.

Tarver meanwhile looked as good as I've seen him in years.
Great performance he got it completely right.

Right now to me he looks like the man to beat in the division.

Smart judge. Woods is a B fighter. Always has been. By alrights he should be 0-3 against Johnson.

1-2 in Clintons favour would be more accurate mate

I disapointing performance from Woods. Tarver was better than I thought he would be, but Woods just couldnt unload. Just wasnt throwing enough punches and just taking punches on the guard for too much of each round.

Johnson deserved the nod against Dawson. He came on strong and hurt Dawson a couple of times. A rematch is needed.

I agree that the number of brits holding World titles hasn't exactly flourished this year so far, and VD is loving it. Loving it like a big mac advert. Calzaghe and Haye will probably be vacating the titles in their respective divisions, leaving very few left:

    Joe Calzaghe
    Clinton Woods
    David Haye
    Enzo Maccarinelli
    Junior Witter
    Gavin Rees

By the end of May, we could feasibly have NO world champions if Witter's beaten, and Joe and Haye vacate. Adieu the brief golden age.

Don't worry Rhun I'm sure Enzo and Hatton will get their belts back. And Carl Froch and Amir Khan will be world champs by 2009

Well if Joe wins then he'll have the most important title of them all and that's the Ring title and universal recognition as the 175 lb champ. I think Enzo will be able to have some success at cruiserweight without David Haye though I'm not sure how much. And of course, David Haye is going to make a lot of noise at heavyweight.
