Does anybody know why CNBC felt the need to show the Correa-Australian guy fight in its entirety back to back?
I don't think Estrada's a medal winner type.

QURBONOV IS THE MAN
i was looking at these characters and decided uzbekistan was taking MW, and uzbekistan or tajikistan was taking LHW
so far they have not dissapointed me![]()
Just finished watching Light Heavyweights...
Egypt vs. Belarus... Wow! those are 2 shitty fighters that aren't going anywhere anytime soon. What a horrible style they both had.
It almost looked like they just picked them off the crowd and threw them in the ring to fight...
The U.S. lost to Latvia in beach volleyball![]()
I've never been so pissed of about a beach volleyball game. I'm not even sure I've ever seen one before.
I know our big guy is supposed to be good but he sucked so bad I was wondering if he was throwing the game
Everyone makes so much about beach volleyball, Misty May and Kerry Walsh when I think indoor volleyball is by far the better sport to watch. Not to mention the women are much hotter. Even that 6'7 girl the US has I was having cross thoughts about. Then I decided that would be just to odd. If I was 7 feet though...
Anyways, some pretty good looking boxers so far. They haven't showed Carlos Negron yet who to me is the most interesting guy in the middle and light haevyweight ranks. Really good scrap between two African middleweights but I didn't write their names down but it ended in a KO.
Kenny Egan of Ireland really impressed with his win over Julius Jackson, Julian's son. Southpaw with nice speed on the outside was very sharp and totally outclassed Jackson who didn't land hardly anything.
Estrada from the US looks to have the pro style down pat but I imagine will lose his next one but he will be someone to look out for in the pros. Good balance, nice 1,2 and a monster frame. Huge back, he looks like the Juan Urango of middleweights in terms of sheer bulk.
Everyone scores more points then what they are given credit for. I find it funny how other international comps the scores are twice as high but then the Olympics the judges all the sudden don't see half the punches that clearly land. It's very, very bothersome. It's more bothersome then judges who give rounds to fighters who don't win them, at least their stupidity isn't tracked in real time.
Yeah Estrada probably has a better pro style.
What was that thing he and other guy were doing when they'd be on the inside, they'd both have their arms up as if to say they weren't holding and they'd kind of swing around in circles. Totally unnecessary. Kind of silly.
can we just be honest...
beach volleyball is a fucking joke...
its like field hockey, its just there to make the idiots that devoted their time ti it feel like it wasnt in vain
so nobody agrees about qurbonov and rasulov?
both will take gold

OMG Turpish got owned. Canadas boxing hopes down the drain.
We suck.
Done. Dunno what happened with the colour - was experimenting a bit, and then everything turned red (on my screen), even in posts I wasnt editing?
I missed the last LHW fights yesterday, but a few noteworthy results in between: World champ Atoyev losing to Sal's favorite Tadjik Kurbanov being the biggest one. Carlos Negron beating a world ranked Iranian (10 on ABA's rankings) and looking good while doing was should be mentioned as well. ABA's 5th ranked Semiotas also went out. At the bookies I placed my money Atoyev was favorite, while I placed money on Beterbiev (2nd favorite, easy through) and Negron at 66/1. Looking good so far...
Only now started watching today's fights (Danish tv started broadcasting boxing now). The commentators appears impressed by the British boxers' earlier btw.
Not really any surprises in the Light Welter-division, but worth noting an American 14-1 defeat and a Bradley Saunders KO in the first round. Best ranked (ABA) boxer to go out was Hungarian Kate (, who lost to Irish John Joe Joyce.
In welterweight Brit Billy Joe Saunders' impressive 14-3 win over WC bronze medallist Adem Killici (Turkey) stand out the most, along with Sarsekbayev's demolition of Canadian Adam Trupish. Sorry Canucks, this time it's already over by day 2.
