Great fight. Darchinyan does it again. Arce made it a real fight though, he's a tough guy. But nice one Vakhtang.
Shaw wants NO part of Donaire in rematch....
Arce is a proud fighter but still shook....it wasnt the elbows ,more so huge uppercuts and kitchen sink.
Poor stoppage. Should have let that go 12 really. Vic was well ahead on the cards though surely.
Darchinyan deserves credit, to me he deserves a p4p spot more than Cabellero now, two huge successive wins over Mijares and Arce, he's got to slot in at number 10 now imo.
Roll on Fernado Montiel that's who I want to see him fight now.
Its cool to dislike a fighter but Darchinyan deserves respect!!!
He said himself he would love a rematch with Donaire but Shaw is the one who don't won't to give Donaire no rewards!
This is the 4th fighter in as many fights at 115 that has been ranked that Darchinyan has fought!
I think its clear Vic will fight anyone
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Vics an arrogant azz...........but he can fight!! He should be afforded the oppurtunity to avenge his loss to Donaire,he seems good with it ??But Boss hog Shaw says...no thanks
Fawk it,bring on Montiel,I'll pick Fernando![]()
I don't agree with dissin Darchiniyan because he was fantastic tonight & I hope he will get it on with Donaire. He is a prick though.
However, I think that they should change the decision to a UD seeing as the cut that stopped the fight seemed to clearly come off the rope. I thought Arce showed amazing chin & heart tonight & the shots he got hit with p4p were similar to Margarito against Mosley.
Another great fight in 2009 though![]()
Full respect to Arce d, he was obviously past his best but still gave it all, and was far more competitive than his last few bouts would have suggested. True Mexican warrior. I hope he doesnt fight on too long now, after all his wars.
