macklin didn't exposed any of martinez' weaknesses, martinez showed himself to be a very limited fighter. i think he'll be dominated soon.

McGirt is an awful trainer. Let him come out for the final round.

Macklin was outclassed in the end. A fair performance from Martinez, but harder than it should have been.

Very good fight, but I don't think he should fight Mayweather 80-20. He should offer it 60-40 or 50-50 cause from that fight I don't think he'd beat Mayweather.

    Great performance and great knockout.

I missed most of it but it looks more like it must have been good fight till the middle rounds. After that it look like they were both running out of gas.

Nice finish by Sergio, 2 KD's in the final round, Mackin put up a much better than expected fight, this wasn't easy for Martinez.

Good finish by Martinez, his class won out. He was frustrating through the early rounds, I hate it when a fighter is more concerned with looking like they're winning a fight rather than getting on with winning it.

I dont like the guy but I think they got that one right. That 2nd knockdown was a sickener, Macklin didnt have a scoobie what was going on.

It was close until Sergio took over in 8th round.

Even with that big size advantage over Mayweather, With a performance lke that, Martinez doen't have the conditioning to compete with Mayweather. Mayweather would pick him apart Martinez is way too slow for Mayweather.

They had a whole minute to let him get it together and instead it was immediately 'no more, no more'. He was up, hands up and back in his corner without too much of an issue.

I really like Martinez...but honestly I feel he and Mayweather could be one of the biggest pose offs and snooze fests this year. Purely styles

Oh but I like Martinez in it

miles don't argue with the stoppage bausss. memphis knows when its time to stop a fight.

I thought he looked great the last 4 rounds of the fight, including the close in the 11th. He did what champions do, took the fight over when he needed to.

I thought the scorecards were on point for a change, except for Julie Lederman. Don't see how you have the fight even after a 10-7 round for Martinez. Not a great performance from Martinez, found a home for the left but not much else. Wasn't really putting any combinations together, just content to land one punch and dance around the ring. I think Macklin came in with a good gameplan which was to limit Martinez's opportunities and stay conservative. I think everybody thought the irishman was just going to stand in the center of the ring and trade, but it didn't happen it confused Martinez to a certain degree. It doesn't make for an exciting strategy, but if it wasn't for that fluke knockdown, which seemed to ignite Martinez, it just might have won him the championship.
