Yo Danny G, you are right about his record and you may be right about the outcome of the fight but the bottom line is that this a much bigger fighter than JR and is by far the biggest fighter he has ever fought. He naturaly outweighs him by like 30 pounds, he walks around at 190 for crying out loud. Did you not see Gattis best shots bouncing off his head like bullets off of superman? Gatti hit this man with his best sunday punch and it had no affect on him. This is not just about boxing any more it is about phisics, the man is naturaly bigger and stronger than Floyd and I think he has a much bigger chance of pulling of the upset than many people think.

Did you also see when Gatti actually boxed and moved though?? Hell he almost turned the fight around and won a couple rounds without taking punishment.. Gatti. In no way will MAyweather try and hurt Baldomir in any one instance, he will just outbox him so completely that he wont be able to use any of that size.

    Baldomir vows to ko Mayweather

    http://www.secondsout.com/usa/lusal....s=473&cs=20597

Argentine WBC welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir has vowed to knock pound for pound king Floyd Mayeather jnr out when they clash at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas next weekend(Nov 4).

Speaking on a national conference call on October 24 the 35 year-old champion, who won the title by out-pointing Zab Judah, beleives his size and strength will allow him to dominate the world's No.1 ranked fighter.

"I wasn't able to knock Judah out because he kept holding on the whole time, said Baldomir". "But this guy(Mayweather) he's fast but I will be able to knock him out.

"Basically I'm just going to do what I am going to do. You guys forget that he's fighting at a heavier weight now. He's not going to be as fast as people think. Yes he's not going to be as fast. It's my plan. I'm just going to come in to fight.
"I mean it's very simple; I'm going to come in to fight. Throwing punches throughout the whole fight and I will know when I hurt him. If I do hurt him he will end up going down."

HBO ppv televise the fight live

Baldo do sound a bit determined don't he?

Carlos can take more punishment than Floyd....he's a bigger stronger Ricky Hatton and it'll be tough for Floyd to handle. IMO Floyd's best option is to use his speed and coast to a decision...mixing it up with him is not going to be pretty especially if he gets Floyd on the ropes.

He's also a bigger slower Hatton.

I think that he'll be Floyd's tuffest fight to date...but I still believe that he'll win.

Castillo, IWO, was the hardest hitter that Floyd has ever faced...Corrales & Gatti can crack too...& they connected...but not as effectively as Castillo.

The factor is going to be that Baldo can take a lot of punishment...but can he take repeated bullseye punches is the question.

I would love Baldo to tap dance on that Mayweather ass ! It's going to be hard to do though. I see Mayweather getting caught, maybe even being knocked down early , then Floyd avoids the action completely, pot shots his way to a UD victory while backing up.

Its very important for Baldo to set Floyd up , draw him in. If Carlos just plods around chasing after Floyd , Carlos will just get out boxed, Carlos needs to make Floyd believe he is hurt ,and then catch his country ass coming in !

I know that Floyd is arrogant & all that...but he does have some reason to be.

I'd love to see Floyd get dropped & then war it out to a win...but he's smarter than that...atleast he has been throughout his career.

Floyd's got a hell of a chin that most forget about.

Floyd being 2nd or 3rd in my top 5 fav's of all time...I surely don't want him to lose...but as I said before...if he lost...he couldn't lose to a more deserving champ than Baldo.

    Yep...but Gatti aint Baldo...

Comparing apples like that...did you see how long it took Baldo to stop Gatti?

Watch Mayweather vs Gatti...there's about a 2-2.5 round gap there.

Anyone that's followed Floyd's career knows about his 24 knockouts (or techy-knockouts) & how unpleasantly painful they appear to be. I'd rather get blasted out by a few hard shots than beaten & peppered out by punch after punch on the button from Floyd.

Gatti didn't appear to carry any of his power up with him when he rose...Floyd's abilities to stop a man come from repetitively accurate combinations. Power won't be the factor in this fight.

I admire Floyds talents also , he is a masterful boxer. , However a loss can build character. I'd like to see what happens when Floyd losses a fight and see if he can come back from it.
All the great fighters in the History , have lost once or twice. and then come back from the adversity. which i think makes them great. , plus a little humility is good for the soul ! Everyone needs their slice of humble pie !

Yeah I know what you are saying but the big shots he got hit with would hurt anyone else....Gatti didn't take his power up because he only fought BALDOMIR and the guy can take MAJOR blows to the dome.

....he took ZAB's punches, those are closer to what Floyd throws and he didn't budge.

The guy walks around at 190! He'll take Floyd's shots he just needs to land in return

I agree...I think that a loss would do him some good too...as far as an attitude adjustment...but imagine the opposite...imagine if he retired undefeated at 40-0.

I'd be thrilled to fwockin def!!!

That is provided that he faces Cotto, Hatton, & maybe Williams...also...maybe a Mosley or Oscar or two.

Here again...if he were to blast out Baldo & announce his retirement...I'd be fine with that too...wouldn't like it...but I could live with it.

I agree., The man could retire today and be a legend.. Floyd is truly a gifted naturally talented fighter. nobody can dispute that.

My mistake...I thought you meant did I see Gatti nailing Floyd...corrected me post elsewhere also.

Baldo will be able to take the shots...but for how long is all I'm asking?

Check out a shot of Baldo's melon. That fwock's got a huge noggin.

It's cool....I think Carlos is going to be fine as long as PBF doesn't start shining the shoes on his big ole melon and making the ref jump in and stop it
