To demonstare the cautiousness of Lennox all you have to do is look at the Tyson fight, who was all but a shell of himself. It still took him 8 rounds to do it, when Williams and McBride did it in less. Lewis was petrified in the first round holding like an "octopus" and even Manny steward was pleading with him to take out Tyson as he knew he was there for the taking, and do not say Lewis was taking his time because he wanted to punish him, it would not be true.

I have to believe it is true. Lennox could have finished Tyson off at anytime in that fight after the 4th....Even Tyson himself said he was hurt in the early part of the fight and could not recover..Lennox knew that as well...Lewis wanted to make a statement.

Lennox would either stop Tyson late or win a ud his height and jab would have his jab in Tyson's face and punish him all night and maybe stop him with a good right in the later rounds of the fight probably the 11 and as far as carees go lennox was better as well lennox was better then tyson in every way and yea i am a lennox fan and think he would kill tyson all i am going to say about that

Well considering he never fought 15 rounds you can't be certain on that 15 rounds is a big difference it would be hard for Tyson to go 15 rounds with the amount of energy he uses.

And i don't know why you think Lewis would just go into defensive shell and throw no punches Lewis has never been scared of anyone he would jab jab jab move and if Tyson come bobbing and weaving in he would launch that uppercut that Tyson was open for Lewis at his best always rised to the occasion.

Yes but what has that got to do with Tyson being able to do 15 rounds easy ?? Biggs was a punch bag after first round for some unknown reason he stopped moving and using his jab after he had won first round using the same tactics.

So Lewis would have just tried to survive against Tyson and not throw anything ?? whatever.

The Tyson that fought Douglas had no head movement, did not throw combinations and was not the same fighter that had fought in his other previous defences. It was plain to see. His outside life did begin to affect his boxing.

Lewis is cautious by nature and I see the his fight with Tyson going the same way(ish) as the Tucker fight when he fought Tyson. A UD for Tyson.

Tyson will always be the man and it doesnt matter that Lennox beat an over the hill Tyson.

Tyson did his work in his early and wonderfully explosive years.

Not true. Lewis is on record as saying he was amazed that Tyson was taking the shots he did. Emmanuel Steward was screaming his head off for Lewis to stop pitty-pattying and clear Tyson out because he knew that the Iron one was potentially dangerous.

If they fought in Tyson's prime in 1988 Lewis would definitely have lost. Tyson had a penchant for chewing up tall heavyweights at the time and Lewis, while good, was still somewhat green.

But magically-mystically if they both could have fought in their own relative primes... it's a pick 'em. I don't think Lewis ever got the credit he deserved and people are sudden Tyson-revisionists as if he weren't as good as he was. Sure Tyson had flaws, but that certainly didn't make him unique. The combination of speed, power and defense inside a little package did.
