..i'm not sure how unpopular but i've always got a negetive reaction when i half heartedly say "berto will beat one of the top guys in the division by the middle of next year. In a fight he's given no chance to win. And andre direll is a lot better than he's let us see yet. I for good reason even got blasted by the wife for that statement.

    ok here goes

1 Lennox Lewis is a top 10 all time heavyweight champion
2 had hamed met barrera in their super bantamweight days and hamed was still being trained by brendan ingle then barrera would have been KOd. hamed in his prime would have also beaten the likes of pacman and morales
3 bowe in his prime (against holyfield 1992) would have had a chance against heavy in history
4 tyson with kevin rooney in his corner would have beaten any heavy in history
5 hearns would have beaten hagler in a rematch

i think thats enough danger now

Even though Oscar and everyone else Forbes has faced couldn't knock him out, I feel like Berto will do the job. Berto is ready for the likes of Quintana, Cintron, Collazo, and an Old Mosley (I think he should fight one of those guys after Forbes) but he might be a couple fights too shy of being ready for Margarito, Williams, Mayweather and Cotto.

not sure if its unpopular but Yuriorkis Gamboa will be p4p no1 in a few years!

Foreman would have beaten Ali in a rematch, Fraizer is overrated
Ibeabuchi could have taken over the Heavyweights...
    thats all for now

-Had Cus D'Amato not died, Tyson would have been the best ever. That was the beginning of the end.

-I think Bernard Hopkins fought a lot like John Ruiz in the Calzaghe fight and disgraced himself.

-I think Kelly Pavlik is overrated because he's white; I think Joe Calzaghe is underrated in America because he's white. Ricky Hatton too.

-I think rap/hip hop is retarded, across the board. I think it becomes exponentially more retarded when Europeans and Asians do it and take themselves seriously.

-I don't think Ali was the greatest, time periods (among other things) prohibit actual, fair comparisons. Having said that, I don't think he was better than Foreman or Frazier- those fights being too circumstantial. He had the prettiest boxing form and was the best entertainer. I also think it's ironic that he spend so much time being a loudmouth and now cannot speak.

I think that Muhammed Ali whilst a great athlete who achieved great things in boxing , is not a great person. he did not live entirely within his own beliefs and shoud/could have shown more contrition for some of the cruelty he imposed on others whilst he was at his peak.

    IMO

I believe Ricky Hatton was terribly overrated, and lived off his one win over an old rusty Tszyu. That win came about because he had a disgustingly biased hometown Ref who allowed him to wrestle more than he should have been allowed, and also let him use KT's balls as punching bags.

An 'Old' 'Rusty' Tszyu - who was only 35! had had less fights than Hatton! (and let's not pretend he was in any wars) and had just come off what the critics called his best career victory a few months before - I wonder what he did in those few months to become so Old and Rusty

.....Hatton was overrated by a lot of people I agree. He was a good world champion and the best 140 fighter for a period of time, but a 'Great' he was never going to be, BUT I just don't buy that Tszyu was Old and Shot story, Tszyu just ran into a hungrier fighter who was on his very best night and he lost.

Tszyu beat Mitchell cos he caught him early, like they say the last thing a fighter loses is his power. It masked the fact he was getting passed it. He'd had 4 fights in 4 years. Yes he had not as many fights as Hatton pro but he had approx 300 am fights and had fought more good fighters by his 15th fight than Hatton did in his first 40. 18 title fights in 32 bouts is ridiculous.
Also Hatton had the night of his life cos the ref allowed him to do anything he wanted, and he had a complete one sided crowd. Had he been fighting on nuetral ground with a neutral ref i think he may have lost. How could Tszyu hit a guy who was either wrestling him or punching him in the balls all night? If a ref does the right thing and stops the holding Hatton goes to water.
