I will agree that Roy looked unbeatable at times, but no more so tan Floyd.
Tyson only looked invulnerable because of the quality of the fighters he fought. You have already stated Tyson was before your time, so I don't know where you get this idea of popular opinion. He was unbeatable in the eyes of teenage boys and casual fans. Many experts were not convinced, especially after he struggled with Tucker for the first four rounds until Tucker broke his hand.
Douglas was a better fighter than anybody Tyson beat in the Eighties, but gets no credit because of the nonsense perpetuated by Tyson's rabid fans.
One thing I will say - NOBODY in the history of boxing fights as flawlessly as he does.
There's an analogy in there with respect to different grades of diamonds but a) I don't have the time and b) it's a bit gay![]()
