It seems 60 tower blocks have failed fire tests up to now there could be 600 in all ! rehousing people will be a problem as the councils want theses tower blocks empty to do the work.
They are having problems as people will not move out the work needs to be carried out and people need a place to live this problem is basically people using cladding which is dangerous what a balls up.
In theses building fire safety is paramount and the so called experts have fucked up on cladding theses tower blocks it was not fire prof but very flammable.

Pretty much everything they test is failing. Penny pinching ahead of giving people just the basics. It's not a lot to ask that the building you are living in not be a potential fire hazard. Years of trying to get everything for the lowest cost and fucking over anyone who doesn't drive a Bentley and live in a luxury apartment. With a cabinet of millionaires it's not surprising but there should be an inquest and heads should roll. An inquiry will just let them pass the buck and not implement changes.

79 dead people surely warrant an inquest. Their lives must be worth that at least?

Apparently not though. We should be thinking of some poor bint who is worried about the wrong kind of people bringing down the value of her posh gaff.

Local Singles. So families are now the new target for your ire? You have half the year off what would you know about working hard? One rule for them and another for you?
There are more single people than ever and it is hard for them to find a home of their own without moving in with a stranger and renting a room. There is far less social housing for such people. Just common sense really. More affordable singles accomodation would be good in London. Sensible people who don't have kids etc tend to be pushed into the private sector more and that is unfair.

Piss off with the argument about working hard. I challenge anyone to teach 48 hours of classes between 6am and 10pm like I used to do. Not anyone can do it. People thought I was nuts taking it on, but I wanted to save money and that's how you did it. Burned out pretty bad and had no idea how to fall asleep in the end. Psychological scars that persist even today when it comes to sleep.

'Twas then that I had to find another way and so I invested in education and a new way. My point is that if you don't want to toil then you have to better yourself. You have to invest in skills, maybe not have kids, etc and yes eventually you have more time off too. Nobody is stopping anyone else doing the same.
I usually take what miles says as gospel but I disagree about you making a challenge doubting that people could do your job. Each one of us, except @Master have developed skill sets that would make in challenging for others to do what we have learned to do. If you came to my place of employment you would not know a thing about The machinery or equipment I operate as half the time I barely do myself and am forced to trouble shoot and go through fifty things each of which must be learned or figured out on the fly. Being me, with the high level of intelligence and especially the massive amount of humility I have which makes me extremely proud, I'm sure I could do your job better than you, but for the ninety nine percent it just ain't so. Actually miles your job is quite easy as when you teach people things they don't know you can make everything up and they will beleive you. I could invent entire new languages in one day and have them be fluent and give them all an A
I doubt people could do it partly because for the first year or two I hadn't a clue either. It is only with experience and then training that you actually master a few things. It is incredibly rude to say that anybody can do something that does actually take a lot of time to understand and then become good at. I wouldn't claim to be able to just become a nurse, or an engineer, or a plumber. You need skillsets and that takes time and effort and not everyone is cut out to do something. Yet on here you hear ignorant comments like 'All you need to do is speak English'. Well, speaking English is one important element, but are you well versed in pedagogic grammar, do you know how to construct an evaluation system, do you understand cultural differences, etc etc? I think only Brock would really have any idea about those things. Even in schools in the UK people do not really learn grammar or have the ability to explain the rules regarding what they say. It is very complex whence we have the field of linguistics and many sub components such as sociolinguistics, written discourse, child language aquisition etc. Anybody can work in a supermarket or clean or something like that, but even working in a pet shop will require specialised knowledge.
Yeah enough already. We get it. You are a genius and everyone else is a chav or a dullard. You and Brockton sure seem like stable normal role models that us normal average working people would love our kids to grow up and be like.

Why is literally everything about You?

Seriously you are both incredibly deluded. What the fuck does it have to do with people's right not to be burnt alive.

You have got anger management issues. Deluded this, cunts that, fuck this. You go on about everyone else not being up to your high moral standards, but you should listen to yourself sometimes. You say you are not angry, but you sure sound it.

Nobody is saying anyone is a genius or that everyone is a chav or that anyone is a role model, but you go on and on trying to bring people down and Fenster did the same. I won't accept it as it is untrue. You wouldn't accept it if I started criticising nurses for being negligent, you certainly didn't like it when I said anyone could make an album, yet me and Brock are seemingly unable to defend ourselves or there be the slightest possibility that what we do requires a degree of skill and that not everyone can do it.

You say it is me talking about me all the time, but I didn't bring up being a two bob English teacher who just speaks English for a living. I merely defended it as a skilled profession which it obviously is.

Incredibly deluded? All I have done is cite things in a factual manner. There is no delusion whatsoever. Deluded is you reading into things that are not even there or else ranting over nothing. Notice how I have not tried to be aggressive or rude to you, yet all you do is hurl abuse at everybody. Yet you say you are not angry. It's just not how people talk to one another. It's a shame.

It may not be how you talk, but that is neither here nor there. You can't possibly expect to be taken seriously on anger management, or any of that rubbish, when the pair of you are so easily triggered.

You are apparently upset at what you perceive as rudeness in a thread about people killed in a fire.

Think about that for one second.

You have little to no perspective on most things. Nobody is trying to bring you down, Fenster is just pointing out the hypocrisy in your stance. You seem to think that you are alone in the world and that nobody else has ever educated themselves, left the country to work abroad or come from a council estate. You want the pats on the back for that and yet you can't even bring yourself to grant people the right to have children or choose to be a builder. There is nothing special about you and Brockton, you both seem incredibly miserable and unfulfilled doing the jobs you do, so much so that anything else is not a skilled profession in your eyes.

Most of the exceptionally intellectually and emotionally intelligent people that used to post here have fucked off, specifically because of the myopic cliquey bollocks that dominates the place now.

You are projecting again Beanz. You are reading things that are not there. Just maybe YOU have lost perspective. I don't expect a pat on the back, but will point out when things spoken are untrue. You say something untrue then I will respond with my truth. My truth was basically that I like not being around riff raff and that actually I am quite skilled. It was as simple as that. Doesn't mean that everyone is garbage and that I am God, but that's how it brewed in your head.

You know, I went for a walk today and no kids hanging around the street corner, no syringes on the floor, no people walking rottweilers, no debris from gang violence. Lovely. Council estates are rough and problematic and the children from poor, broken families do not do as well in life. It's just the reality. I prefer to be around peace, civility, and people who don't call other people a cunt.

Much better to call someone a cunt than be a cunt.

Ah yes pedagogic grammar, that is like hearing the name of an old friend you haven't though of for years.

For anyone who doesn't know what it is, it is a description of how the grammar of a language should be used to communicate, it is quite a modern approach in linguistics and it is intended to aid in teaching additional languages.

Do I sound like I know what I'm talking about? if I do I apologise I just did a quick google cuz I wanna be involved

You are quite welcome, Batman. Even if you are from a council estate, I am more than happy to discuss this with you as there are worthy people from council estates too. You and I and others too. You are into books, so may I recommend Lightbown and Spada's "How languages are learned". It is an excellent appraisal of both 1st and 2nd language aquisition. For Beanz I recommend "Politeness: Some universals in language usage". I feel it may come in useful when it comes to his online posting style.

Fuck you. I am quite happy to not be considered worthy or polite if that is how shitty your value system is. The funny thing is real academics would laugh in your face.

I didn't put you down, miles. With the chance of an education and commitment any literal English speaker could do your job. They might not be as good as you, they might be better, but regardless they could do it.

You have an abnormal predisposition to be upset by people that don't regard you as a unique special snowflake.

The way you speak to people on this forum is appalling. Miles is correct about you you are an extremely unhappy person yet you go around telling me and miles that we are the ones who are unhappy when it is you. It is clear you're a very intellectual person I have always thought that from the very beginning I won't speak for miles but I'm sure he also thinks that. But it takes more than intellect beans. He's right about your style you're so abrasive and insulting to people it was my original problem with you back in 2013 when I email the mod one time and asked you to be warned or even banned because of how rude and abrasive you are being. It has been the case with you ever since that despite your high level of intellect which nobody can deny and your excellent sense of humor you also are such so incredibly and personally judgemental and insulting at times and that is the style that miles is referring to. Please don't take it like anyone is insulting your intelligence which is obviously extremely high and your wit and creativity which is also better than probably anybody else is here. But you just come out and say such personally judgemental moralistic and insulting things to people that that is what pisses everybody off
