Murmurings Of A Boxing Mad-Man: David Price - What Next?
Full fight between Hanks & Ruiz....Joe did ok up to the point where he didn't protect himself while Andy was in range...stupid mistake really. Ruiz is a poor man's Cris Arreola.
After watching it Joe couldn't slow Ruiz down so he could feel comfortable in there. The pace was too fast for Joe, he allowed it to be that way. Could Andy have carried that pace? You never know, but as the longer, fighter you've got to land the jab, use your range, and if you're getting closed down, TIE UP, PUSH OFF, CIRCLE OUT....or catch the guy coming in then use feints once he's wary of you, you can't look for places to relax when he's not giving you any.

David Price needs to hold his horses a bit, he needs to make some recovery fights and then he can think about the Lucas Browne's of the division. I say get him in there with someone chinny, then someone who can give him rounds and then someone dangerous. He's got a lot to work on.

oh great now we shall be subjected to months of chisora acting like haye trying to get a fight with wladimir... I bet he's going down the road of you said you want to knock me out, so knock me out and other such nonsense but all he is really doing is being as annoying as possible to get a fight.. I expect to hear about robots, ivan drago and how vitali couldn't stop chisora... even though the fight wasnt even close and vitali is old and had an injured shoulder.... Old del boy got \ good result v scott but after losing to vitali and haye he is still a long way off of world title level if he gets another 2 or 3 good wins then fair enough.. I just dont want to hear chisora doing a haye impression to fight wladimir.

Thompson is a great choice for Pulev to fight, brilliant decision. Fight him then a power puncher and he'll be as prepared as possible to fight Wladimir. And ditto for Thompson fighting Pulev, he's got a chance if he wins that fight to get another big money bout if not another title shot. I'm happy for Tony, he's been avoided for so long in the division and now he's finally being respected, he's the true top American heavyweight but just because he's not a huge trash talker or a power puncher he doesn't get much love over here.
Thompson has definitely been underrated. I love his attitude: he'll fight anybody anywhere.
I was disappointed when Bryant Jennings refused to fight Pulev because his promoter was afraid of being robbed overseas. Thompson has won several times in Europe including the two wins over Price and the WBO final eliminator win over Krasniqi.
