It's notable that the change from 2015 to 2027—about $400 billion—is equal to the projected shortfall in Social Security starting in 2034. In other words, if this money had instead been committed to Social Security, it would be solvent forever. But it wasn't. Instead all the talk is about increasing the retirement age and reducing Social Security's inflation adjustment, both things that would disproportionately harm the poor. But the retirement industry doesn't care much about that. After all, they don't make any money off the poor, do they?

26% of Americans polled by CNN of all networks hahaha think that Joe Biden is mentally fit to be president and only 27% of Americans polled by CNN think that Brandon should run again.

I don't keep up with American politics to really understand. Surely there must be other Democratic potential candidates? Is Kamala Harris that bad or is it just because she is black and female? And if she is that bad then why is she VP? I know AOC is way too far to the left for most here's taste but she seems an intelligent articulate camera friendly star to me. Is there not a more middle ground or right wing male Latino candidate that could fire up a huge portion of the electorate? Even a boring middle ground white guy under 70? Surely?

Kamala Harris probably gets more of a bum rap than she deserves. Then again, she's a huge question mark on critical issues, such as foreign policy. No one can say for certain how she would fare in that arena, and most people would probably give the nod to a more experienced old fogey like Biden. Personally, I don't like how Kamala has handled issues such as immigration as a whole. Not that anyone else in government has handled it any better... but Kamala would probably get failing grades on this topic. As with Biden, Kamala has bent over backwards for the LGBTQXYZ Gestapo, which goes over and beyond just securing rights as human beings... they want to coerce mainstream society into things that infringe upon the rights of others. Then again... that's my criticism of the far-right Democrats as a whole.

You'd think the Dems would've conjured up a decent candidate over the last 8 years, as an antidote to the Orange Narcissist. But they've dropped the ball miserably. Thanks to them, four more years of Trump seems a certainty by now.

Why hasn't either party been able to come up with someone better? What about someone younger? Trump 78 Biden 81. What about somebody who's 51? What about somebody who's 56? What about someone who's 61? It doesn't go by age necessarily but please. 78 and 81?

Why don't people like Gavin newsome and Gretchen whitmer, Cornel West, Jill Stein, and even people like Chuck Schumer at least give it a try? What is stopping them? The same goes for republicans. Why can neither party get better candidates?

When someody becomes prez they're the candidate four years later. Every single president runs for reelection with very few exceptions. Nobody credible ever runs against them and they breeze throughthe primary elections. It's difficult to get rid of them if they don't want to go as we're now seeing.

Kamala Harris really is that bad. Even Democratic primary voters didn't like her when she ran for the Democratic nomination in 2020. She was actually the favourite i the race before it started, former prosecutor, Senator, black and female in a party whose base is blacks and females. She was so poor she dropped out before the first state primary as she would have finished close to bottom. The New York Tims did an article on her recently along the lines of has she grown into the job of vp. There has been massive staff turnover wich is always a bad sign. The Harris people gave the NYT a list of former staffers who would say something positive about her to balance an article they expected to make her look bad and not one of them had anything good to say about her. She'd [robably do better than Biden but would still lose.

AOC is too lefty for America. Great on tv but would lose forty five states. Interestingly she only comes out with a little bit of lefty rhetoric these days and it's all highly qualified. In the House she votes ninety nine percent of the time with the boring moderate Democratic caucus. All the actual extremists who vote like they talk are all in the other party and the modertes now have to vote like extremists or get primaried by some MAGA nutcase.

90 million dollars.... The down party tickets are going to be massively affected by this. This is unbelievable. The potato has about 48 hours left to step aside. Watch them announce it right in the middle of the Republican thing next week.

And here is the great president of Ukraine, President Putin

And the great Vice President of the United States Donald Trump
