I remember this happening. It was superb.

The weaselling shit of a presenter thought he would do what they always do, ambush their guest live on air behind a smile ..... and Mike Tyson is the wrong guy to do that to.

In fairness, I think the guy was lucky it was live. Look at Tyson's face just after the question, while his promoter is trying to deflect. He is so angry he is panting with fury.

Brilliant. When the cameras stopped rolling I bet that presenter filled his pants.

But every time I see him, all I see is a guy seconds a way from breaking down in tears.

Iron Mike has had the world in his hands, yet has been knocked down and humiliated like very few ever have (rightly or wrongly). Few people could handle ALL of their living being nearly an open book, known to all, a newspaper column constantly updated. Tough to live with everyone knowing your ugliest chapters as well as your greatest.

Even King Solomon (who had anything and everything available at the time in the world) remarked that all of life was vanity and chasing the wind (empty?).

Sooner or later we all gotta come to terms with our own mortality, that doesn't mean we ain't enjoying life. Nobody can be saved, we all die eventually but living is only for the brave.

I've spoken to a lot of older folk about death and mortality and often as not the answer's you get are very much the same - they're just tired, not that they particularly want to die but that they simply come more and more to see death as a release.

Prayers for you Mike. Hang in there and keep searching the simple things of living, that bring your heart joy and peace. No matter what anyone says or thinks, most could not have managed to accomplish what you have in life ... if dealt the same set of cards. Sadness is a part of life ... you have to have a lot of wonderful ... to be able to feel any sadness. It's all good, you've lived a great life.
