i dont see why some people have to turn it into boxing vs MMA, although i do understand why some boxing fans dislike MMA and why some of the guys who are just following MMA since the UFC got big a few ywears agoi find boxing boring...


this was a good weekend of fights tho, hatton looked nice, kimbo looked good for a guy who had only been training in submissions for a few months, cung le looked fucking unstopable and thee entire strikeforce elitexc card was great

thats due to the structure of the spoprt

they try to sell entire fight cards rather then main events which gives them a way to justify not paying the main eventers mad amounts, also the promotions function differentley then boxing promoters, and there is little room for negotiation with earnings once a fighter signs a contract, over the next few years there will be some big bonuses handed out for signings, but the pay per fight will probably remain around the same, if not getting lower
