Default Shane Mcphilbin - Hughie Fury

I've seem to upset the Mcphilbin fans on twitter saying that he's a small cruiserweight who would have no chance against hughie. Hughie is 6 foot 8 and Mcphilbin is 6 foot and in his last 6 fights he has lost 5 and drew 1 and the draw was against somebody who was 0-3. Why are his fans deluded thinking he would have a chance against Hughie? Weird.

I find it strange we are talking about a novice with 8 wins 5 Kos ?
Hughie is a bum with no power.

Give him a break he's 18 years old he's still physically maturing. He's done well so far and looked good. He will learn a lot in the gym with Peter Fury and he's got a good amateur background. I think hughie will do well as a pro.

Im kinda impressed by Hughie Fury. For a man of his size, dude seems to be pretty quick and Im really liking his jabs..

Another rumour I heard was that he's trying to fight Tony Thompson on the Fury-Haye undercard!!

Yes I read that too but Thompson had signed to fight Pulev and that is happening. I also read Andrzej Wawrzyk was offered the fight but he turned it down. IMO Thompson is far too much of a step up for hughie at the moment. Hughie needs to be fighting at the domestic level, taking on the likes of sprott, fraudley, sexton, big larry etc. Hes 18 years old and I don't see the rush when he's still learning lots in the gym and getting better each fight. It wouldn't be good if he stepped it up early and took a beating. I think Peter will know what's best for Hughie and I will trust his judgement, but I do think he shouldn't rush with hughie. But he should keep doing what he's doing and keep him busy and gaining more experience.

I'm not sure on that one, he use to be an amateur and pro though and comes from a fighting family. Hard as they come really.

Wow you're really sensitive aren't you? @Tam Seddon actually replied to your question (which was utterly devoid of boxing knowledge) and you respond by starting an argument out of nothing and then proceed to follow him to other threads to drag the argument out?

Picking fights with long term respected members of the forum isn't really the way to go around here. Get over it already.

Hughie has greater potential than Tyson so as long as they take time and keep him busy he can reach that potential. Hopefully the Klit brothers will have retired and left the game by the time Hughie is ready for the world title.

Now you come out of nowhere blindly defending Tam which makes me think you could possibly be his alias, if you are not his alias you should really learn to mind your business, as for long term posters I was here long before both of you so you may want to know what you are talking about before you post something like this, as far as your petty threats of what road I should walk down don't bother me at all, punks don't scare me and its not going to start now.
